Yup, that was her! The others were like, "Don't go out there!" and she was like, "Fuck you!". She opens the door, Jason's standing there and wacks her in the face with an ax! Of course, the close-up shot of the ax in-between her eyes mentioned is cut out- Jason just wacks her in the face then then hurls her across the room. Still a cool scene, very brutal, even without the cut footage. That was Part 7, BTW. The design of Jason in 7 was my favorite of the series- he's more decomposed than usual, you can even see his spine theough his back. Nice touch.

4 was the one with Corey Feldman (he also had a small cameo in the beginning of 5). And yeah, Tom Savini (who played "Sex Machine" in From Dusk Till Dawn) did the effects in that one. 6 was very cool, too. 6 and 7 are my favorites. The original was cool, too. However, I like them all, with the possible exception of Jason Goes to Hell. When New Line started making the Friday movies instead of Paramount, they started going downhill. Jason X was better but still not great. Hopefully they'll get Freddy Vs. Jason right. I hear the script is good.

Tom Savini did FX for orginal Friday the 13th, and Part 4. Not sure if he was involved in Parts 2 & 3 though.

What about Jason Takes Manhattan? Now that was bad.

As for Jason Goes To Hell, it was more of The Hidden ripoff then Friday the 13th, even though it did a good start, and some very nice gore. Remember the Tent Split in Half scene ;)

Nope, he just did 1 & 4 like you said. Talented man. He did some great work in George Romero's "Dead" trilogy as well. Do you like those movies?

Yeah, it was pretty bad, especially the ending, but it's not the worst. It does have some good kills, however ("Take your best shot, motherfucker!" POW!).

Overall, as a Friday the 13th movie, it was horrible, but if you look at it from a gore standpoint it was pretty good. How could I forget the tent split in half scene? :) I was just pissed that New Line Cinema bought the rights to the Firday the 13th series and the first movie they churn out only has Jason in it for 5 whole minutes. If it was called "The Hidden 2" I would have enjoyed it more. You can tell New Line regretted the film, since Jason X goes on like Jason Goes to Hell never was made.

"Sex Machine" in From Dusk Til Dawn...is that the guy with the gun in his, uh...crotch? It's been awhile since I saw that one (really liked it though). What has Savini been up to? For the love of god someone get him onboard Resident Evil 2! It could be just an hour of Savini zombie effects and it would be sick.

I saw one "Dead" movie...the one in the mall. That guy mentioned above was in that too. Is that Tom? That was one long fucking zombie movie. Didn't get really good until the gang comes in and lets the zombies go fucking nuts. People getting ripped to shreads like it was going out of style. My fav parts: *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* A zombie climbs over some boxes to get at one of the heros, and BZZZZ, the blade of the helicopter lops of the top of his head! Great effect! He wobbles around, blood flowing out like a bowl of soup, and then drops dead (again). And when the cops blow that guys head off with a shot gun. Done fast enough to make you go "whoa!" and not look too fake.

As a side note, I hated the first Friday movie. I really don't have a good reason, I just thought it sucked.

Jason X was made that way as to not interfere with the constantly-in-the-works F vs J. The writers of Jason X didn't want to make anything that the F vs J writers would have to base their script on. Sorta like a stand alone movie.

You speak of Dawn of the Dead, one of my favorite movies of all time. For me though, most of my favorite parts are actually in the first half hour, where you see just how fucked the world has become due to this epidemic. I have a fetish for apocalyptic scenarios, and I also have one for zombies, put the two together and I'm in heaven.

It's also for that reason that Day of the Dead edges out Dawn of the Dead just a little despite the goofier parts imo. The beginning couple of minutes where the survivors land their copter in the city and see just how destroyed everything is 5 years after it all started is just too cool

First off Tony Timpone previewed a New Line Cinema reel of their upcoming genre films which included: "Freddy vs Jason", "Highwaymen", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "Willard" and a 6 minute clip of the crash scene in "Final Destination 2". Let me tell you that the F vs J looks really good (spoiler a young Mongoloid Jason gets pulled under water by Freddy who pops out of the water. There's also a scene from a rave in the cornfield and Jason Spearing and hacking teens). "

1/31 the trailer will debut with Final destination 2, even more reason to see FD 2!
