Me and DJ just came back from seeing it, and we LOVED. It was one of the most FUN movies I seen in quite a while. There were so many moments, some classic Nightmare and Friday scenes, great kills and the whole atmosphere of the film was just great. Now in details:
Ronny Yu did excellent job, and reviatilized another franchise(actually 2). It had great pace, and while couple of scenes were slow and somewhat stupid, to the rest of the movie was fast moving. I loved how it opened with classic Nightmare theme and with Cha-ahah from Friday series. Great recap of Freddy history, and I love how they made him to be scary again. He was vicious here, fast and deadly. I loved his moves against Jason, he was kicking Big J's ass. I loved the dream sequences, and Freddy new powers.
And All those kills - Man !!! Jason really was one deadly bastard. He really had alot of fun with his victims. I loved all the gore, It was THE BLODIEST movie this year, even beating Final Destination 2 in gore department. The fights between F and J were truly brutal, and I love how Freddy used his speed to his advantage.

Man, So many cool things to remember, like attack of flying gas tanks, with in-air double hit !!!! Or Jason Boiler Room Pinball !!! Too bad Freddy only got 1 guy, but that made seeing him whooping Jason's ass much more sweet :)
Most of the characters were dumb, but thats what I was expecting. Plot involving the conspiracy to cover up Freddy was also bad, but it didnt really mattered here. I loved J looking stoner, I wish there was more of him. His lines were golden. I love when movie doesnt shy away from nudity and gore, and in this regard FvsJ delivered big time. Great opening with nice bit of nekkid girl and even a classic shower scene. !!!
While its not true horror film, it does have plenty of Boo moments, and it even got me once, and DJ few times, so it was all good.
And while the ending left you guessing on who really won, I think it was clear who did. I really want it to make money, so they can give us another one. The audience loved it and people were actually clapping at the end.

Well, Freddy was faster and much skilled fighter. Plus he was more smarter and twisted. I loved how he used his and Jason's weapons to his advantage, and all those environmental dangers. Jason was stronger but much slower, and sorry D but dumber too.

Fredy here was definately a mastermind and very twisted. From the nightmare sequence to the way he tortured Jason with the scenes from J's childhood. But that why I love Freddy. Jason is little to straightforward - chop/slash/kill but Freddy toys around with his victims.

Audience loved this film. People were hollering and clapping at the end. Everyone had GREAT time.

Ken was great as Jason, I didn't miss Kane at all. I hated it when Kane was yelling and groaning in Jason Goes To Hell, however. Jason's not supposed to make noise, except maybe for some heavy breathing.
I loved new Jason. He was unstopable killing machine in here. Just damn brutal. New guy did a great job.

I loved the make-up and gore FX. It was quality work, and even digital fx were very polished and cool. I loved all the hacked heads, arms and fingers. Freddy look was even more menacing especially close to the end, where he turned all red and demonic. Jason was great as well, classic but with few new cool touches.

Mayhaps I would've appreciated it more if I'd have seen some other horror movies before besides Resident Evil.
As Mech said, there are no such thing as too much violence. Especially in such fun movie as this. Let the more heads roll !!!
