The title of the movie is "Freddy Vs. Jason". The "Vs." in the title denotes a competition. A competition results in a winner. So, yeah, you could say it matters.

While I like both, I don't particularly favor one over the other. Just seemed to me that Jason got his ass kicked. It's painfully obvious that Jason is in a dream-state at the end, notice the hazy background, used for flashbacks or dream sequences..

I think everybody in the business will take him seriously from now on. To take the idea no one else could shoot properly, do it with a reasonable budget and make such a huge gain on it is the most impressive thing you could ever have in your history.

Every film maker wishes for a reputation like that.

I'd like to see Freddy vs. Jason 2. It'd have to be done right, of course. That goes without saying. Like I said, no more draw ending. A winner and a loser.

Perhaps they left the ending slightly open (if you can call it that) in an attempt to please fans of both characters.

Sure he could. He isn't completely mortal in the real world. Jason tore his arm off and chopped him up after driving him through the side of a cabin and hurling him like he was in a hammer throw. That would have killed anyone, and Freddy was still alive. I mean, he was set on fire in the original Nightmare on Elm Street and he just strolled around the house in flames and started strangling that chick's mother. It stands to reason that he could still be alive.

Man, I wish Ronny Yu would just officially announce who it was that really won, so I can be proved right once and for all. :D After all, I read that the actual winner was his call.

I can't wait for the DVD. They better go all out for it.

Maybe Yu will do that on the dvd commentary track :) So Jason fans will learn once and for all ;)

I will be definately getting this dvd day 1 :)
