okay finally getting the last couple things for my new rig and i got my MS "enhanced" keyboard. its the one that has a bunch of controls on the top. its got cd player controls and shorcut keys for things like mail,messenger, my music and so on. since i bought this and my wireless optical mouse OEM there were no docs. im just wondering why none of the shortcut keys do anything. anybody else have one of these?
I have a Microsoft Internet keyboard. You gotta install software that unleashes the power of said shortcut buttons.

My keyboard just came with a CD, so I never needed to check their site. It's worth taking a look, though.

You should be able to download the software on the MS website. Also if you use Windows XP, WinXP will configue it for you without the software.

I have an MS Internet Keyboard Pro... if you can't download the software for it and your keyboard is the same is mine, I'd be willing to rip it into an ISO and send it to you over ICQ or AIM or something if you have broadband.

At first I thought that shortcut buttons were neat, then I realized I never used them and they were just wasting memory. I guess I'd use the volume controls if I didn't have a remote for my speaker system.
It's all about the volume control!
I'm spoiled now, I can't use a keyboard without them, although I never use any of the other keys. It's not just because I spilled coke on the cd player keys, I never used them anyway. I just wish someone would make a keyboard with nothing but a volume control that DIDN'T cost 50 dollars. And was made by Microsoft, I actually dig their keyboards.
