So: which games stand out from the rest? Or in plain English, which are the preceding games are just... good? Share your impressions and info.

Dont forget Namco's Ninja Assault.

Plus there is End Game, but I dont know if it ever came to Japan.

Most people seem to hate Vampire Night, but I loved it. Its not as much action packed as Time Crisis 2, and requires more precise shooting, since enemies have weak points by shooting which you kill them faster. There are plenty of moments where you have a choice of saving innocent people, before they become infected, and sharp shooting skills come in handy.

To me Vampire Night feels like Gun Game Castlevania. Wonderfull locations, Dark Castles in the night, Snowy Forest, Medevil Village, all add great atmosphere to the game.

I also liked character and moster designs. Very stylish.

Boss battles are pretty exciting, and each Boss have 2 forms, which add some challenge to the game.

There are plenty of extras, such as Original Mode, Arcade Mode, Training, Enemy Dictionary that gives you detailed info on enemies you encountered in the game. In other words plenty of replayability.

I'll buy that comparison. VN can be an enjoyable light gun game as long as you avoid comparing it to HotD2, because you will notice similarities between the two. With that said, I do think it is worth purchase.

I only played a little of it, it of course looks better than the Saturn versions, not quite Model 2 quality IIRC, but still fun, as long as you don't expect too much from it.
