I was curious , I sent in my registration for the Network Adapter about 2 months ago and I still have not received my Twisted Metal Black Online. Is that a normal wait time?

sure is!!! i sent my card out launch day and didn't see my game until late nov/early dec...
Dustin, since you already have it, how is it?
I've got it, had it for awhile now. Still have yet to play it.
I have not received the game yet. So I am not sure how it is
Oops, I meant VideoDrone!
You'll play it once and never play it again, no matter how much you like Twisted Metal. There's absolutely no chat at all, and it really just feels like you're playing the computer. Not fun.
i agree with most omf said everything, except it not only feels like you are playing the computer, but rather a lame-duck version of the computer...the people online are horrid...i've cleaned up every time i have played...i still find it fun though...kind-of a break from the cheap AI that all too often has me swearing away at my tv...Quote:

Funny, Ashn Victor were talking IMing each other about how he would never get TMO. Coincidentally, it came in the mail the day after.
I swear... Sony's tapping our lines and shit.
I received my copy of the game about two months after I mailed in the card.
I disagree with some of the above comments. I feel that Twisted Metal: Black Online is a rather good game, especially for a freebie. The complete lack of chat does hurt a bit, but overall the game is still great fun. It's certainly not a game that you will play once and never play again.
Playing a proper game of Twisted Metal: Black Online isn't at all like playing the computer, because human opponents can (and and usually do) use different strategies. There's also a large number of options that can be tweaked, which often affect the game drastically. For example, you can elect to give players access to all weapons at the beginning of play, or let them drive around and hunt for powerup icons to gain the weapons. Even an option that seems very minor can have a pronounced effect, such as changing the scoring from "kills only" to "net kills" (which is the number of kills you have dealt out minus the number of times you get killed). With the former, you often see people driving wildly and taking a lot more risks; with the latter, players are often more cautious and aren't likely to just rush blindly into the middle of the battle.
When all is said and done, I think this was a good choice as a free bonus game, and it's one I'll probably return to for a long time.
now let's laugh it up about how i never got my launch demo...Quote:

You can contact Sony via email from their website. They respond pretty quickly
They need the Serial Number from your BBA (you have to remove the BBA to see the serial number because it is on the side you cannot see). You also need to know the date you bought the adapter.
Sony will research it and send out the game. In my case , the apologized and said it was mailed on Dec 26, so I am hoping to receive it soon.
