Considering getting a Mac...

Well...making music for me will mean traveling around, so it might be a necessity. Not sure.

That and sitting at a desktop is really uncomfortable to me...

Go here to get updates for your MAC OS. Also, though there are fewer virus' on Macs than PC they are there. Just do research and get down the general things you need to do to take care of your PC and OS and it should last a good while.

Well, peeeeeoples, I think I am going to go get it on Tuesday (the last day of the "double your RAM for 40 bucks" deal).

If anyone has anymore info to tell me, go for it before then :)

I decided on the Powermac g4 1.25 GHZ, 2gb RAM, Superdrive (dvd-burner/cd burner), 128mb DDR Geforce Titanium graphics card, 120 gb harddrive, and the 22-inch studio widescreen monitor. I think this should last me a while :)

I'll first start working with the free version of protools with a cheap audio-interface and dat machine...and then raise money for the full-fledged protools with all the hardware included. It'll cost a ton, but if I sell enough stuff and raise my money correctly..I can do it...all while paying off my loan to get this desktop :)

Damn man that's a nice system. You're going to love using it an OS X...and on that 22" Apple monitor :D
