I have nothing against the N64 mocking. You guys are making some funny stuff.
I was just throwing in my 2 cents on the N64. And now that I think about it, I was kind of off-topic.

The N64 had Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Mario 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Starfox 64, F-Zero X, Sin & Punishment, Banjo-Tooie, Jet Force Gemini, Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros., etc. It was also the first system to have four controller ports, which was huge for me (even if a game sucks ass, it's still fun if you're playing the game with 3 friends). Sure, the graphics were blurry as fuck and there were a few game droughts, but every system has negatives.
This whole thread's off-topic, unless we're all somehow still talking about what a great investment a Glowing-Pikachu-Cheeks N64 would make...Quote:

"Gamefaqs has 'Hey You, Pikachu' listed as a strategy game, just so they'd have something to put in that category. No, really."
...nope, we're not.
"Nintendo creating the N64 is proof the perfect job does exist: They didn't do a damn thing and still made money. Next they plan on marketing themselves drinking beer and masurbating to create profit, just so that they can laugh at Americans when they succeed at that too."
"In recent news, the Nintendo announced a new game for the N64 yesterday bringing their grand total up to ten."
"Hey You Pikachu; it's like a happier version of Seaman without the voice recognition."
actually quite alot of hidden gems on the N64
but anyway the reason i have 3 is
well when you work in a video game store its easy to get game systems no one wants any more WAY cheap so i had one back up at one point them some one traded in a gold N64 so i switched out my back up for that one and then just recently my friend gave me his N64 because he didnt have the wires for it
hell if i wanted i could have about 10 PSX back ups but i have a PS2 so theres really no need
there was a point i had about 6 or 7 NES's too but sold those off cept for my top loader and my original NES i got all those years ago
ive had multiples of many systems at different points
"nintendo 64....the only system you have to smoke yourself up before using just to make out the graphics"
"nintendo 64.....like having glaucoma"
:D
N64's are almost indestructible, I wouldn't worry about them breaking down anytime soon unless you use them as a hammer or something. And when are people going to stop calling Pokemon a fad? It's been selling like hotcakes for what, 5 years now? And Ruby/Saffire are going to sell like crazy too. A franchise that's dominated sales for this long isn't a fad, it's a successful franchise. That's like calling Game Boy a fad.
At my old store I smashed the hell out of an N64 with a hammer.Quote:

I knocked the entire top off of it and it still worked. I think I gave it to Korly.
He might still have it.

The system had one controller port, but...
...the controllers had a controller port on them, as well. So yeah, if there was a game that supported say, 20 players, then all you'd need was 20 controllers and you were set.
"Only 19 3D0s were sold worldwide, which means the 3D0 outsold the N64!"
Actually the Atari 5200 beat them both to it. Original versions had 4 ports.
