Konami and BEMANI home conversions?
Back in the PSone days, Konami kept a steady stream of Beatmania and DDR home ports going. Now however IIDX 7th Style doesn't have a release date whilst 8th Style has been in the arcades for a while now and the GF/DM ports have stopped at 4th/3rd mix despite the games' huge popularity in the arcades. Anyone know what's going on? This is very unlike Konami and quite concerning for me as a IIDX newcomer.

IIDX: There was a HUUUUUUUGE....HUUUUUUUUGE gap inbetween 5th Style home and 6th Style home. You can blame this on-
-Konami having to completely redo the layout for 6th Style. It was the first major layout change since the first.
-Licensing of the Avex Trax stuff. There was lots of it.
-Waiting to see whats going on with 7th Style for preview songs.
-Konami wanting to give the fans more, and that they did. Hologram post card inserts, a V-Rare extra CD, Tatsujin movies (2 of the best IIDX players in the world showcasing their skills across 15 videos), an unlockable art gallery and....ready? Hi-Speed 4! WhooWhoo!
As popular as IIDX is, the home versions don't seem to sell very well, so that may be one point of concern for 7th Style release date being pulled. Another is that with the huge gap between 5th and 6th Style home made the home version feel out of date by the time it came out, seeing how it even had 8th Style preview songs. So what KOJ might be doing is a hybrid 7th/8th Style home version, considering that 9th Style is schedualed for testing around March. Something will be released soon. Also, did you notice how the release date for Beatmania 7th Mix got pulled too? They might be doing the same for that and THE FINAL.
GD/DM: Licensing. Thats all you have to say. When they stopped is when the licensed songs kicked in big time for the arcade versions, and they were mostly from different companies and labels. Also, sales were uberweak, but that's KOJ's fault for making such a horrid DrumMania controller.
IIDX 7th Style came in innnn....April of 2002? Somewhere around that time.

Later rumors indicate that IIDX7 CS may get a fall release, and may lose a few songs in the process, if it even manages it at all.
I heard that too. GEE! I WONDER WHAT COULD BE MISSING!? Could it be...
The Sound Of Goodbye
The Beauty Of Silence
and Never Look Back?
HMMMMMMMMMMMM....... :D
