can my saturn be save???

well a few years ago i installed a country mod with a dpdt switch on my US sega saturn and it works perfectly for US/Japanese games. But recently it's been acting up. It works fine for US games but when i flip the switch to Jap mode, the power wont even turn on or nothing. And then I opened it up to see if something has came unsoldered and it was just fine. Then while messing around with it, I try to get it so that i can test to see if the power will turn on in Jap mode without having to reasemble the whole thing everytime to test. Then suddenly Pooffffff the part right under the power plug went smoking black and i'm not sure what exploded. But I test it out again after that and US games work, but japanese mode still won't even power up. Is my SS gone? I spent hella cash on this shit!!!

Yes, they are. I knew they had one hit in the states - Northern Touch, but they've been around up here for ages. Canadian content laws on our music video channels are their best friend (you can count all the Canadian rap acts with record deals on two hands). But I didn't know anyone had even heard of them down there.

Which would be exactly how I know them. I kept meaning to check out more of their stuff but could never remember the name, the exact same reason it took me over a year to track down Mindless Self Indulgence music.

most will say its all about piracy but their mb's are THE BEST when it comes to modding sega systems. im sure someone there (masterakuma in particular) can tell you whats up.

Also, if yo spent "hella money" on it, you got ripped, I paid all of $5 for the switch and a saturday afternoon.

about rascalz, i just discovered them from a hiphop forum. But yeah i only spent like 2-3 bones on 2 dpdt switches. I kno they work because they have worked for me for like 2-3 years then all of a sudden just bailed on me. ANd i think the smoke came from some water that my mom splatter onto my saturn, cus i check back and there was nothing wrong with it. No blown up bulbs or nothing. And i plug my saturn in to test it with a local game and it works fine. See the thing i'm worried about is that i might have burned the prongs on the dpdt switch or something. And I'm not sure if there's a solder gap or something becaue there's no way to test it, all the points on the saturn is connected or something, or my multimeter is just fucked up.But yeah i'll try to do some surgery on this shit.


btw, when i said i spent hella money on it, i mean my saturn, not the dpdt switch.
