I just saw something cool at Amazon.com, it appears once the final episode of Oz airs they are going to release a book on Oz, supposedly it's what "Augustus Hill" wrote, you know, those memoirs they have talked about a bit so far. Sounds pretty interesting. Link is here.
Very cool! I'll have to check that out. It's funny that it actually says, "By Augustus Hill". I wonder if it's actually being printed in Oz by the Muslims? ;)
Well, another new episode of Oz has come and gone. Overall, I thought it was a great episode. Here's the usual good and bad stuff:
The Good:
Robson kills Cutler- thank fucking god chucky put this idea in Robson's head, as he has spared us any further S&M homosexual sex between these two. It was amusing how Robson did it, with him tricking Cutler into sexual asphyxiation and "forgetting to untie him". Heh. And I cracked up when he earlier told Cutler that when he would get off, it would be like "God himself was swallowing". Now Robson can stop being a Prag.
Prison reaction to Said's death- Said was a major force in the prison- it was nice to see his death treated like a big deal with the inmates. I'd like to see where they're going with the guy who killed him- so far, all we know is that he had to kill Said "before dark". Hopefully this isn't more weird supernatural shit. Actually, the fact in the preview for next week's episode we see Shillinger telling Said's killer that if the Muslims mess with him, the Brotherhood will protect him seems to be setting up a possible Muslum/Aryan war...interesting.
Keller kills Winthrop- nice to see Keller stick up for his man and kill off this little turd. And it looks like he's setting up Beecher next week for a drug bust, that jealous little bitch. This is a pretty cool little plot development...
Homeboys walk out of the Telecenter- Poet's arguement with the lady on the phone was funny- ("Bitch, you think I don't know where 16 Smith street is?!?"), and the plan the homeboys were talking about sounds interesting. I'm also curious about next week's preview where Redding tells Pancamo to kill all his former associates- geez, Chucky's just ready to run out and kill everyone, ain't he?
The Bad:
Man-sex- ugh. watching Cutler rail Robson up the ass in graphic detail was almost as bad as the "spooning" from the other week. As I said above, Cutler being dead is a good thing. Sadly, we still have to watch Beecher and Keller smooch.
Antiono Nappa as the guest narrator- eh, he just sucked. I never liked him. He died rather lamely back in the day, also- smothered by a fag.
O'Riley's mom- Okay, she walks all over the prison and none of O'Riley's enemies shank her. And no one makes fun of O'Riley for having mommy hang around. Now her ex-boyfriend and former Black Panthers leader is in Oz?!? And you can tell Ryan don't like it. Geez, this is just silly. I guess he's gonna off the guy or something.
10 million murders this season- geez, a nutty amount of people are getting killed. It's almost becoming a joke. How can Oz remain open? Any real jail would have been shut down or taken over by the military. Oh, well, it does keep things interesting, however.
More heartbreak for Beecher- Damn, how much shit can one human being swallow? Now he has to deal with Said's death. He beter flip out with a chainsaw soon... :D
The season is really picking up now, and things are getting very interesting. There are several possible storylines brewing for next week, and I can't wait to see what happens next. Good show.
I agree with most of what you said except that. I thought Nappa was badass when he was alive in Oz, and as a guest narrator he wasn't that bad, I would say he did the first average job at it since Oz started. He just doesn't have the same type of charisma as Augustus Hill or Keane even.Quote:

Anyways in my opinion this episode started out good and ended good but the middle absolutely sucked. The whole reading/old guy storyline is just boring as hell and I do not give a shit about it. Poet on the phone was fucking hilarious though, and I'm glad to see the Italians might go to war with them.
That scene with Cutler fucking Robson was actually kind of disturbing most things don't bother me but something about the imagery of it with him pounding furiously and Robson wearing that mask he looked like some sort of creature. It was good to see Urbano and Pancamo again as well
The reaction to Said's death was pulled off well I think
It was great to see Keller is still a badass, he went right into Unit B and took care of business, I like how no one ever really fucks with him anywhere
I can't remember the rest and you already said most of what needed to be said. all in all it was an average episode
Was alright I suppose.
I wasn't really any in the mood to watch tv last night, so I'm not sure if it was just a substandard episode, or if it was me just not being interested.
Eh, maybe I was a little hard on the guy, but I was just never really into him as a character.Quote:

We've been over this before, and I still agree with you 100%- the old guy romance thing must stop. The Norma Jean thing is especially stupid, and the thought of Bob and the Libarian possibly reading to each other naked is NOT appealing.Quote:

Eh, it was more gross than disturbing to me. The spooning freaked me out more. :eek:Quote:

Man, you're like Urbano's number one fan, aren't you? ;)Quote:

A little better than average, I thought, mainly because it served to set up several interesting storylines for next week.Quote:

It seems that he's always been crazy or some shit like that. He's actually a rich boy and being a biker is part of his delusion or something. I dunno...it's pretty stupid. But it's certainly not the dumbest thing yet...Quote:

How many seasons has this show been on?
5 I think. Not sure if current season is 5 or 6.
This is the shows 6th season. Each season was 8 episodes except season 4 which was 16 and they were seperated by a couple months. The reason for that was cause of Sopranos being delayed a year.
