Some people say it's a remake of the first Seiken Densetsu (Final Fantasy Adventure), but I certainly don't remember parts like what's in the pics.
Those screens are f'in lovely...especially the coliseum screen.

I bet it's a remake along the lines of Resident Evil for GameCube. Kind of a "Director's Cut" with extra areas and dungeons...
EDIT: Do you think it would be worthwhile to replay Final Fantasy Adventures before this comes out? I was all set to play it anyway (don't remember much from 12 years ago) when I found out this was a remake.
Looks nice. So when's it getting a local release? It would be cool if they ported SD3 too.

One of my fave and coolest monsters in all rpgs.. the rabites are back. I liked those things. They may look cute and furry from afar but when you get close they can gnaw your balls off.
If these got into a fight with pikachu I reckon they'd win.

I'd buy it. I had FFA a while back, and this is looking light years ahead of it. Even if it plays the same, that's okay - FFA was fun to begin with.
Seiken Densetsu GBA + Super Game Boy Advance = Heaven :)
Now if only Enix... would have some Star Ocean and Creation GBA love'n... please :D
Good question. If you do flip it the width is the same as the other screenshots, but there are about 120ish extra pixels of height. I don't have a clue what they are planning...Quote:

So it appears that just about everything is going to be new except the core storyline.
the sword swing in the arena pic looks very much like Zelda/FFA...

It looks awesome. Is that flower creature from Seiken Densetsu 3? I remember seeing a pic very similar to it.
I wonder if the action is like secret of mana or seiken densetu 3. I like the depth of seiken densetu 3's class system and what not, but I like the way the action was in secret of mana more (link to the past style).

Is it real time? I played a few FF games on the Gameboy, but I don't remember any of them being action based. If that's an action game, then wow. Even if not it's still got my attention.
it's realtime fights. All Seiken Densetsu games have been like this.

I don't know why this bugs me, but itdoes... I'm a little annoyed to see every thread about this game littered with praise for Secret of Mana, but none for the game this is a remake of. I really liked Final Fantasy Adventure. Alot. Probably more than the pallette swapped plotless filler-fest that was Secret of Mana. Show some lovefor the original.

I think that's how they're managing to incorporate dead heroes... The game is set in the time period when they are still alive.

actually Seiken Densetsu 3 takes place over 1000 years before Final Fantasy Adventure. while Secret of Mana was a sequel to Final Fantasy Adventure. so I guess they're mainly talking about the SD3 people.
they could also just pull something like the Tales series with the cameo's and just make em appear but not do anything to change the story like be in minigames and stuff.

It's definately a huge improvement in quite a few areas, but I still didn't like the action as much. The control felt stiff compared to secret of mana. Maybe it balanced the game more, but I didn't seem as much in control of the action.Quote:

The flower boss looks similar a bit to a pumpkin boss in Seiken Densetsu 3. It was one of those 7 beasts you had to fight. The position of the boss is the same as that oen.Quote:
