I am!!!! Looking forward to getting it this week.
I might pick up an Xbox this weekend just so I can play this game at its' launch.
I still play the OXM demo from time to time. Aside from playing, I'm curious to see how this does sales wise on the heels of the respectable amount of success Shinobi has garnered.
The wait is almost over...
I replayed PDS and PD a few months ago in preparation, and I'm gonna play PDZ again before Wednesday.
Just few more days till. Got it reserved this week, along with DMC2.
I will be getting this one day one of course.

Is the music from the commercial in the game (sounds unlike PD music) or is it in the game? I think it sounds rad... I'm looking for a full WAV of it so I can sample it later.
I am fully interested in making a one man Metal band based around Pazer Dragoon mythos called Grig Orig and that would be a good sample. A band kinda like Summoning (which has only 2 guys).

I'm getting it. It's still hard to belive that another Panzer game is being released. I can't wait, the trilogy is probably my favorite series ever, and I'm hoping this will soon raise my love for Panzer Dragoon even more.
Anybody know that Tokyo Pop released the soundtrack here in the U.S.? I picked it up today at Gamestop. :D Haven't listened to much yet though as I want to hear it in the game first. I'm pretty sure I saw an add for a strategy guide too, which I'll get with the game if they have it. Panzer is the one series that I actually buy stuff just to have. Tracer, I'm hoping that Orta has some sort of sound test hidden in Pandora's Box. I've just about fallen in love with the boss music.:D
Tracer: Still no sign of that song, but I'm looking. It does sound sweet as hell.
Searching for info I came across http://sega.jp/x/pdo/ which has what seems to be all the Pandora Box stuff, and there's no music mode. The soundtrack listing is here, so it might be among them (my guess would perhaps be the final Instrumental).
I'll tell you if I find anything.

I broke out the Saturn last night. Played some ZWEI. Whew, the 32 bit age sure didnt age well.
Anyways, my Xbox is the only thing I play. My Gube just rots there and Ps2 gets used every once in a while. Poor Cube, needs new games. I probably wont turn it on until Zelda... unless I get that sweet Zelda 64 disc.
I plan to pimp the shit out of Orta at work. Yes, I finally like a Sega game. Its about fucking time.

... I am troubled with this game. If I get this game, I have to get the XBox aswell(because I currently don't have one at the moment). But that isn't the problem. The problem is that you are actually required to morph in certain places meaning that you can't go through the entire game using one form. If this occurs in the game, will I also be forced to change forms a lot just to get all the enemies and thus have to memorise where the enemies come from?
So in the end, I am just going to with till some one has "owned" the game before I get it, because it is a bit of a risk for me.

I think the "dragoon" term comes into play when the dragon's rider is involved. It has something to do with armored warrior or armored rider or something like that. Not 100% sure.

I just got mine today, I was surprised how fast I got it from ebgames.com since I wasn't expecting it to ship till today and maybe get it Friday since I had 2 day air... but Panzer Dragoon Orta goodness is now in my possession :)

Finished my midterm and am skipping school for the rest of the day... Panzer is mine :D.
I am beyond words. It is beautiful, inspiring, artistic, and perfectly presented. On top of that, it's an actual game. I died for crying out loud. The melding of art and gameplay is just perfect in this series, and initial impressions tell me that Orta is about to become my favorite (shooter) yet.
Is it me or did the first level change a ton? Maybe that's just the difference between easy (what I assume the demo was at) and normal (what I'm playing currently) but man, level one seemed a heck of alot better than it was on the demo.

Fantastic. Utterly fantastic. The glide and morph abilities add a huge amount to the gameplay. And Episode 2 is unspeakably beautiful.
And as someone else pointed out, it's *tough*. I died quite a few times in Episode 2 on Normal difficulty until I figured out when to morph and how to glide. And the game is hospitable to players of all skill levels. There are unlimited continues and an option to save at each level, just like Zwei. And fans of Naglfar's Pit in GunValkyrie will definitely dig Pandora's Box -- Smilebit's fingerprints are all over this one.

difficulty level seems to jump around on normal the final boss was kicking my ass on level 1 on easy i beat the board with out getting hit

Sweet baby jesus, this game is tough. I almost died on the first stage, even after memorizing the demo! By the way, anybody seen stage 6 yet? SOMEBODY at smilebit played Rez.

I wondered about something, though. When Orta hears the recording left for her, it mentions that Orta is the product of a drone and a human's genes from inside sestren. Since the only human inside Sestren was Edge (who got sucked inside at the end of saga), and Orta identifies the voice as her mother, could that possibly mean that Orta is Edge and Azel's "Daughter"? Or, maybe i'm just thinking too hard.

And yeah, that's some suckass cover art. I wish they'd used the back art for the front and vice-versa. Game's still awesome though, and I guess that's the important thing.
Beat level 2.... main thing killing me was not using the glide ability. Learn to use it, it's your friend. :)

Regarding the consensus on its difficulty: not much appears to have changed from the earlier Panzer shooters. They, too, were rather challenging -- especially if you were trying to unlock all items in the Pandora's Box.
There's no way anyone's going to unlock much of anything with only a few hours play. This is a good thing.
I must say, while I was looking forward to his game, I definitely did not expect to enjoy it to the level I have thus far. Finally, Sega does something they haven't done since the earlier days of the DC...create a very, very, very good game!
