Who here is planning on buying this game? Those of you who work for gaming publications, how do the early versions play? Is anyone going to buy Vexx over Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, Jak & Daxter, Mario Sunshine? Should anyone buy this game against such worthy competition?
It looks putrid. The gameplay better be damn good to make up for the worst character design ever.
I don't think I can do better than NZE's "putrid" for my feelings on the potential of the game.
vexx looks good but knowing acclaim they'll screw it up somehow.
Okay while you guys are doing you usual ritual of slamming everything Acclaim I have stood idley by as I could find no fault in your arguments. However this I do take issue with; How can you claim that to be bad charater design? Personally I find it cliched to a major extent, but certainly not "putrid" by any means. It's just a descent attemp to create a marketable charater that is kids find viable and entertaining. It's no worse than a purple dragon, or a wierd bunny/dog thing with limbless appendages, and certainly no worse than a goddamn gekko with a TV addiction. Give these guys a chance to get it on the market before you trash it because "Acclaim isn't cool, and thus everything they do isn't cool by default."
First of all, you're wrong. The worst character design ever goes to Blinx. Socondly, I think Vexx looks pretty good. I didn't even care to look into it until I walked into EB one day and they were running a video of it. I must say that after that I'm interested. I heard that they delayed it so they can make the levels smaller and more of them. What the fuck is up with that. The levels looked great in the video I saw. :bang:Quote:

I haven't seen too much about this game other than the demo video. It didn't stand out as something I am compelled to buy, or even rent.
