Did you know there was a time when a lot of people wanted you banned? I'm sure I've crossed that line a few times myself seeing as a lot of us have acted like Dorkchops from time to time.

Ven, you're being ridiculous. There are so many people that can't stand you, yet no one really considers trying to kick you out of the Tavern. It's called tolerance.

Not just wanted me banned, I have been banned MANY times. I dont really care though. I can piss people off sometimes, everyone can. But Ven is so preachy that its ridiculous. He acts so above everyone it makes me sick. I am sure because you have met him in real life you can say he is a great guy or whatever(Super Chumz 2k1), but online he is such an egomaniac.

His example problem talking about "(form of entertainment)" is something I have seen him do at times. He talked about JPop a couple weeks ago and then got mad when no one liked it and said something about how he wishes people would just respect it and not make fun, but he cant tolerate when people do the same goddam thing. I like Ven, he adds a bit of spice and variety to the Tavern... But why he posts shit like this is beyond me. I assume mom didnt give him allowance to buy a new Neo Geo cart this week so he took out his frustration on this thread. Anyway... I just figured I would say something about this because if he can say what pisses him off, I sure as hell can too.
I did no such thing with the J-Pop, Red. I was pissed because people sit around doing NOTHING, and when I offer to send an mp3, people say no. For what reason? Is the mp3 going to kill you? Are you using your bandwidth? Are you going to LEAVE in the next 10 minutes? No to all three.
You didn't want to watch "that" anime until someone BESIDES me started saying it was good. I'm generally offended by the way you consider my opinion shit, 24-7. But I try not to rant about it much, and I definitely try not to direct it at you. When's the last time you heard "Red Venom is a worthless, vapid piece of crap"...err, when I wasn't joking? Heh.
Anyways, if you read what I wrote, I wasn't directing the "I wish they were banned" at you. Or ANYONE you really know, for that matter. Let's not forget that you're also quite content hitting the ban button yourself. Idiot newbies excluded. You've caused all kinds of problems by getting trigger happy on other Taverner's because of your own personal feelings.
No war. It's just that I don't give a shit about what the "Taverners" consider the "Tavern dynamic."
The dynamic, in my opinion, is a bunch of slutty women and shock-value rants/jokes. I use it as a meeting place, or as a place to gather information. The "human" aspect of it is not for me. You get burned far too often, unless you have a harmless "gimmick," much like a circus trick--something that doesn't require someone else's time, yet entertains them. The Tavern's "superficial comedic roundtable" has gotten old. Especially since, like it was mentioned here, I'm apparently "hated" in some capacity.
Pathetic.
Anyways, the reason why it's no war, is that I'm dropping it. Taking up this fight just leads to irritable, hedonistic chatters--bitchy due to a possible denial of their drunken orgy. Don't worry, folks. The orgy shall continue indefinitely. One Ven isn't going to stop you. Besides, I'm tired of hearing "Ven's so goddamned preachy, he's always whining, he makes me irritable too, waaaa." Boring.

I wish you would shut the fuck up. I'd like to shut the fuck up, too. This kind of stuff is why I was so hesitant to start posting here in the first place. It always happens. Over and over again. That's the cycle that pretty much writes all of this Tavern history that we're all so nostalgic about.
We're all people, and people are different. I'm not even going to bother finishing that one - you know how it is. From the things in history books, to the classrooms they're issued to, to the IRC channels that the students go home and spend their time in, it's the same shit over and over again. The only way to escape it is to be void of presence. So, with that, I'll bid this board adieu and not contribute to any more of this conflict. It's silly. I don't want to put so much energy into an intellectual war that's never going to go anywhere but back to where it started. No one's right or wrong. No hard feelings, etc... If I saw Ven on the street, I would probably be very happy to meet him.
