I am bringing this thread back to life. Lets talk about the transformers, from G1 to Armada. Also, for each person who post on this thread. they have to ask a transformer questions, and the next person who post has to answer that question, to the best of his/her knowledge.

I believe it was the late Scatman Crothers. You may remember him as the elderly black man who got an axe through the heart in the original Shining film. :)Quote:

Transformers The Movie :p
Unlike TV shows, robots actually DIE in it. No silly lets shoot at each other for 10 minutes and then run away till next episode crap :)
Yeah, they switched it up on us in a heartbeat. In the normal series, someone would get shot, then simply say "ouch", make a smart remark, and be back in action.
In the movie, they killed off EVERYONE. I still wonder who put that hole in Windcharger's torso, who killed Wheeljack and Sideswipe ( all 3 are seen lying the floor near the beginning ) and I can't believe they were given such no-name deaths. They were important enough to the original series to go a little more in-depth, but I guess the movie had time constraints.
The death that affected me the most ( next to Prime himself ) was Prowl. He was one of my favorite designs and characters, even though he never said much over the course of the series. I think he was 2nd in command to Optimus Prime, being their military strategist. A shot in the "heart". What a way to go. Ratchet and Ironhide got swiss-cheesed, then a free head-cut. Brawl got a shot in the shoulder.
Then we had the people who showed up during the movie, but never showed afterwards ( like Grapple in the trenches at the beginning, Hound and Sunstreaker on Primes' ship ).
Anyhow, in short, I think the absence of the classic main characters killed the show in it's 3rd season. It was good, but it just wasn't the same after the movie.
