Cyclonus, after yet annother Megatron failure, he got all pissy and mouthed off to him. In his litte rant Cyclonus revealed, to Megatron, that he would rule the Deceptacons, and that he knew this because he was from the future. Megatron, being Megatron and all, then blasted the shit out of Cyclonus.
I wish we had one, cohesive, coherent, singular story line. This whole "the comics say, but the show said, but in Japan..." crap is overwhelming.
Cyclonus is the miggity-mack daddy of all arial Transformers. Starscream sucked (ironically, I love him in Armada). And Scourge and his Sweeps were the bomb as well.
I miss Gen 1. I wish it never ended and instead of this RiD, Armada bull-poo, we could either continue the Beast Wars/Machines arc, or pretend they never happened and retold the time line with good old Autobots and Decepticons.
Either way, I'd be happy.
Trivia Q: Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Starscream each had a signiture ability. Name them.
What the shit :wtf:Quote:

I take this is the comics, right? Well, I won't be able to tell you anything about that. The continuity is kinda FUBAR, IMHO.
Good question, though. A comic-head would know that easy.
Sky: Teleport
Thun: Making Deafening Sonic Booms
Star: Openly betrays Megs all the time, but managed to stick around for so long. Now THAT'S an ability. Uh, Null Ray?
Starscream-"null-Ray"
Skywarp-teleport
Thundercraker-Sonic boom
Note: I would love if they redid generation 1 in CGI, that would be sweet.
What are the fastest transformers of sky, ground and water? There is only three.
Air: Sky Fire
Ground: Blur
Sea: Jimmy the Jellyfish?
Oh and I take issue with one of the above statements. Starscream was the UberShit. His character in G1 was too cool, especially the way he kept trying to usurp Megatrons power.
Jimmy the jellyfish:lol: :lol:Quote:

Oh and for the record, I liken RiD and Armada to Go-Bots.
You all got Skywarp and Thundercracker's abilities correct, but not Starscream.
Starscream could fly at hypersonic speeds. That's really it. Kinda lame if'n you ask me.
ShineAqua: Starscream was a whiny bitch. I'm glad Galvatron smoked his ass. That is all.
You forgot your question.
Who is the fastest transformer on the ocean, lake, water,..etc...?
I don't think anyone know that one for sure, hell I got a guy in mind but i'll be damned if I know that "red suits" name.
Starscream was by far the coolest Decepticon. Yeah he was incompitant, but he was damn devious too. Do you remember the whole Sky Fire Incident?
Nope, nope, nope! You have to be intelligent to be devious, and you say yourself that Starscream is incompitant. Sure, he's ambitious, but that alone doesn't make him worth anything. Every plot he ever had failed miserably. Sneaky? Maybe. Ambitious? Sure. Devious? Not a chance in Hell.Quote:

P.S. Yes, I remember the Jetfire/Skyfire incedent. I also remember how that particular scheme ended...in failure.
I remember the Skyfire incident ( just watched my DVDs a few days ago ).
You know what I thought was funny? The Autobots are a bunch of moochers. Read on to find out why.....
SPOILERS
At the end of that episode in which he made his debut, he supposedly got buried under a ton of ice, right? The Autobots acted like it would never be possible to dig him out. Everyone was sad with the line, "We remember you, Skyfire".
Tell me why then, if it was so hard to dig him out, within the next 2 episodes, when they needed a ride to Cybertron did 2 Autobots go and dig him up in 5 minutes like it was no problem?
First, they let the man sit on ice like he would never be able to be freed from his prison, but as soon as they needed a ride back home, they go dig him out? Moochers :)
I don't know about the Autobots being moochers...but Skyfire is definitly a moron. :D

I agree with what you said, the autobots were just being lazy, you know, until Optimus Prime said to dig him out.
What was Megatron's first words in More than Meets the Eye, part 1?
Back up you go.
I don't think thats it.
Any other guesses?
I would guess.. Megatrons second in command... in RiD... CyberShark... he is dfeenitly one of the coolest Transfoers ever.. I like him more than Star Scream..Quote:

OK. I'll give you that. Scourge is a bad ass. If anything good at all came out of RiD, it was Scourge.Quote:

There. I've said something good about your beloved RiD. Happy? :p
I mean, look at him. He's really damned cool. :D

Generation 1- Megatron, Optimus Prime and Cyclonus
Beast Wars- Megatron
Beast Machines- Megatron, Jetstorm and Thrust
Transformers RID- Scourge and Ultra Magnes
Transformers Armada- Sideways and Starscream
These are my favorites. What was Megatron's first words in More Than Meets The Eye, part 1?
Haven't you noticed that Optimus has gotten crapier in each series, In G1, he was the best, I mean that one on one fight with Megatron in transformers the movie was sweet. From then on ,the optimuses just went down.
Optimus was never cool. Perhaps in "More Then Meets The Eye" he was reasonably cool and in the movie he was way too cool (which is why, when I watch it now, it was painfully obvious he was going to die. I mean he would never look that cool if unless they're trying to get the audience to like him so much that when he died it would be all the more tragic.) Otherwise he was a pathetic leader. Not necessarily the worst, Ultra Magnus led the Autobots to slaughter on the planet of junk, and Rodimus, well we all know about him, and Star Saber was an english prick, and suspected pedophile. But Optimus Prime was neither cool nor was he a compitant leader.
I tend to agree with you, Shine Aqua. Gen 1 Prime was a looser.
I liked him. I thought he was the best leader compared to all the other Optimuses out there.
Best Optimus = Optimus Primal.
But I can see where you're coming from, Nemesis. Gen 1 Optimus has endeared himself to all of us Transfans. Though he not be the best, brightest Autobot leader, he still has a special place in my memory. :D
Primal in BM or BW? Either was still pretty bad, although I'd give a distinct advantage to BW Primal. BW Primal depended way too much on The Oracle; he barely made any decisions of his own. I mean picture Primal deciding to knit doilies instead of fight because his horoscope told him to take up a new hobby and to stay indoors, and you have BM Primal.
You see what Religion will do to you. Lucky Megatron stap him out of that with a cat and dog fight.
"For the Sake of Matrix, For the sake of Cyberton, I will never surrender".- Primal
"Ha Ha, a provado in the face of death, How droll".
( Transformer and fires on Primal)-Megatron
Speaking of Megatron...
BM Megatran was by far the coolest he has ever been.
Oh, hell yea, just look at my avator.Quote:

Total bad ass
I agree. BM Megs was great! And I was talking about BW Primal. I should have been more clear. Sorry. ;)
I think the Autobots need a new leader all together.
I mean, how freaking many Autobot parents name their sons "Optimus Prime" in hopes that they become the next leader?! There have been close to 10 different OPs through Transformers' different franchises. And just as many Megatrons.
They should have a leader with, BW Dinobot/Rattrap personality.
Wouldn't work, the leader needs to have an aura of respectability, and Ratrap was the comic releif. As for dinobot, he was too hardcore. He'd make a good second though.
Basterds, always with respect. They should have an reprogramed, rebuilt Deceptacon turn Maximal be their leader.

Just saw this on tformers.com:

"Smallest Transformers"
Fully transforming G1 characters, only 2 inches tall. Retail is 380 Yen. These will be packaged similar to the PVC figures in Japan (you don't know which figure you are getting until you open the box, and odds are, there will be a chase figure). To be released June in Japan.
Also, the Starscream re-issue is available on Amazon.com, and the Jazz, Smokescreen, and Thundercracker reissues are available there for preorder.
Those are awesome! Thanks for the info!
FYI: All TRU exclusives are available at Amazon. ;)
I can't believe Prime has his trailer and Roller, and Soundwave has little mini-cassetes! (Doubt they transform though). I've emailed www.bigbadtoystore.com to see if they'll be getting any of these. Otherwise, I might be placing a substantial preorder with HLJ.com. :)
Oh, has anyone seen these anywhere yet?:
[thumbnail]http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/images/tf156big.jpg[/thumbnail]
Heroes of Cybertron. They're basically the American release of Takara's PVC line (not to be confused with the MEGA PVC line) of TF figures. They are supposedly available at Walgreens, but I've never seen them anywhere in the Southeaster cooridor. I've got a batch of wave 1.5 coming this week, and wave 3.0 was just released:
I'll let everyone know how they are.
Thanks for the info, you should also check out this site: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/tf_menu.aspQuote:

Those small figures are sweet ass sweet. I'll be scouring ebay for those.
I'mma have'ta check my Walgreen's for those PVC types. :D
Me Too
Just read the first 2 issues of The War Within, and although I am, for the most part, impressed with it, I also find myself bothered by the bad dialouge and some of the artwork. Most of the artwork is impressive, however, at times I look at a box and wonder what the heck it is i'm looking at, and the dialouge is choppy and at times hard to follow. Add those what was at first a choppy storyline to begin with and I'm left upset at what could have been much better.
I just got an email from Joel at www.bigbadtoystore.com. They will be selling the Ultra Small TFs, but he's not sure when they will have a preorder page up. Just FYI.
Bump. Latest BBTS newsletter mentions that they have a preorder up for the smallest TFs. $4.99 for a ramdom figure, $50 for a box of 12. Ship time is sometime in June.

Oddly enough I'm starting to enjoy Transformers Armada the cartoon more and more. The comics are pretty good too and are way more serious than the cartoon's goofball Decepticons. I wish they did a game on Armada it would rock, I love all their designs.
I wonder if the kids growing up now will remember He-Man, and Transformers like we did growing up in the 80's.
Ditto! It was really, really bad at first, but the more I watch, the more I like it.Quote:

The toys are excellent, and the comic is great, but Transformers: The War Within is much, much better. ;)
I can't wait til G1 V2 hits. and like I said earlier TTWW is passable.
They turned Grimlock into a mobile fortrace, chief-of-police bad ass. That's good enough for me. :DQuote:

I am also finding myself enjoying the show as well. But I can't seem to find Thrust, Jetfire and Blurr. Sideways is working Unicron, Sideways is working for Unicron!!!!!!. Did you also know that there is a Unicron toy in the works?:)
I can't either :(Quote:

Some news on Unicron for Armada; Unicron is due for an August release.
Unicron is 16" tall in robot mode and about 12" in diameter in planet mode.
Unicron's presence in the show will be a big one, even if he doesn't appear in every episode.
The Armada line will be getting the subheader "The Unicron Battles" soon.
This Unicron is not necesarily the same exact character seen in TF: The Movie since the continuities differ.
The eyes light up.
Unicron's hand lights up when he grabs a Mini-Con. Fingers are individually articulated.
There are 24 Powerlinx points on the ring.
Put the Star Saber in his back and he fires a projectile from his chest.
Mini-Cons can attach to lower leg area to fire missiles.
Legs and abdominal area have storage compartments for Mini-Cons.
Thank you www.bwtf.com, Unicron is on the right.

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/images/pre444big.jpg
Holy shit, is he still gonna be a planet eater? Or is he going to be a regular sized Transformer? I think I might have just found a reason to watch Transformers Armada.
I don't think even Unicron could make Armada watchable. Don't get me wrong Armada is getting alittle better but it's still not something I'd make a point to watch everyday.
That figure is BOSS! And as I said before, I can't wait for Uni to appear. :D
I like Sideways decepticon look with the pointy horns. I am also really liking that they are constantly adding more transformers to their ranks. Scavenger in particular is awesome, looks so much like a cool decepticon/old constructicons but is a Autobot, he looks so weird and out of place in the whole mix.
Check it:
http://www.8ballcreations.com/bwbm/g.../scavenger.jpg http://www.8ballcreations.com/bwbm/g...us/optimus.jpg
Also I wish they got rid of all that tacky yellow on Optimus Prime on the show and look more cooler like the comics. Red Alert also looks real cool.
http://www.transformers.com/images/t...d_redalert.jpg
Finally an awesome 'movie like' poster:
http://www.8ballcreations.com/bwbm/g...rs/1bigger.jpg
Thats a sweet poster
Kind of ironic that this Unicron stuff was brought up, as I watched the latest episode of TF Armada, and he made his first appearance. Not full blown, but his presence was felt.
Yeah I caught that ep too today. Looks like he's not going to be the full planet he was before, more of a smaller scale version but he still looked menacing.
Are we talking about the episode wherein the "kids" get sucked into "cyberspace?"
Beast machines. I thought it was a little better than beast wars...Just a little.
I guess thats what there talking about. I'm not sure that unicron is the same planet size Transformers the movie orginal or something different. But, there is a Galvatron thats out now in stores. So maybe Unicron will Reformat Megatron in the show.Quote:

Megatron looks cool though! And he's not a weakass gun like G1. I picked up the Hotshot figure(it's my first toy purchase in a long time) and it's pretty awesome. He's like Armada's Bumblebee or something. Although the split down the middle in vehicle mode makes it a bit less cool, his transformation is nicely done and he looks just as cool as the cartoon in robot mode. I love the mini con thing too. It comes with a little mini comic and some other little stuff.

Visor flips up to reveal face too.
I was going to pick up the deluxe Optimus but his paint job looks kind of blegh(fists are blue gold painted arms and he transforms electronically which takes the fun out of it).
[thumbnail]http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000067R3D.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg[/thumbnail]
I might pick up the regular $10.00 Optimus since it looks better then get the deluxe one and swap the Optimus that comes with it which is this:
[thumbnail]http://www.tfboogaloo.com/gallery/toys/armada/prime_rm.jpg[/thumbnail]
I really hope to see some Transformers The War Within stuff, they look VERY VERY awesome, probably the best designs followed by Generation 1 then Armada.
Another update, here's a link to see the latest transformers that are coming out.
http://207.44.204.78/photos3/

I picked up the first season G1 set and the Transformers movie, it's pretty damn sweet and I still think it holds up well, although I caught alot of errors and such(multiple Starscreams, swapped colors for others). BTW wheeljack rules.
*Edit*
2 things:
[thumbnail]http://207.44.204.78/photos3/data/2/1P10100122.jpg[/thumbnail]
Optimus is crazy jacked up here. This is like Super Duper Deluxe shit, maybe Armada's Ultra Magnus?
And this either looks like a dinobot from Beast Wars in vehicle form or Smokescreen has a deluxe version or repaint. I hate repaints BTW it always makes finding the original color harder and it looks blagh.
[thumbnail][/thumbnail]
I also think the Unicron thing should be worked into a movie like the old one but it's probably not. Maybe a 2-part thing or saga, but then again it sucked seeing all those cool Transformers in TF the movie die like that -__-
Here's a link to some new info about Unicron, thanks to bwtf.com
http://www.bwtf.com/armada/toys/unicron/
Can you imagine how big the box will be for that shit?
It will be about the size of Armada Megatron or Armada Optimus Prime.
What Decepticon leader are you?
http://zerobassx.members.easyspace.c...quiz/quiz.html
I am Megatron.
I knew this before I took the quiz.
*Wolffen Cast Level 2o Thread Resurrect*
Ok, as I mentioned in the Alternators thread, OTFCC is going on this weekend, and some new news about the Transformers Armada sequel has been released.
Taking place 10 years after Armada ends, Transformers:Energon finds the Autobots overwhelmed by the Decepticons. Gone are the annoying kids, replaced by much older kid (more along the lines ok Spike, but less annoying). The Autobots must now combine into superbots (ala Jetfire and Optimus) to be able to hold their own against the new hypermode Decepticons. Also thrown in is a new race, the Omnibots, who can absorb energon and transform into weapons. The mini-cons will still be in it as well.
A new 52 episode series will be on Cartoon Network, as well as a comic series from Dreamwave. Should start Q1 next year. www.Americandreamcomics.com has images. Check out the Hasbro Panel links.
Another line, which should be in stores now, is Transformers:Universe. The storyline behind this series is that Optimus Primal is pulling Autobots/Maximals from multiple universes to fight Unicron, while Unicron is pulling Decepticons from alternate realities as well. Basically this line is full of repaints from RiD and Beast Wars/Machines.
Last but not least, the Smallest TF line is finally out in Japan and should be available stateside via import stores in the next 2 weeks. The figures are slightly smaller than mini-cons! Supply is somewhat limited on these. A second line has already been announced for later this year or early next year.
Finally, the G1 PS2 game is not coming stateside because of Sony, according to Hasbro. No word on why they denied it's release here.
More news: Energon Optimus will be able to combine with 4 smaller figures to form a larger gelstalt, not unlike Voltron (in terms of Black lion's size compared to the other four). Decepticons may now be named Terrorcons (and turn into beasts).
The Mega PVC line will be released here in the states as "Legends of Cybertron." The Smallest TF line will also be released stateside.
As long as they don't have the annoying kids, the show will do fine.
