Man, seems like alot of people are up to Deus and haven't been able to beat him, myself included. I've tried a few times, but it's pretty tough. It's a great fight though, cuz it really takes alot of strategy and not necessarily brute force. Strider gave some good tips too. Actually, I'm gonna try to beat his punk ass right now!! Wish me luck! :D
I would have to agree with Final Fantasy 8. I actually really like the game, but I didn't go through and do anything extra. I didnt have the most powerful weapons or magics, quite frankly I didn't care and towards the end of the game I was still destroying all the bosses easily. But that last boss... agh! There was no way for me to defeat her without backtracking to the normal world and getting more powerful magics to boost my stats, and that would have taken eons. I actually went to Compusa, picked up a Gameshark Lite (which cost almost as much as my copy of FF8) JUST to beat the boss's ass. I haven't used the Gameshark since.
That game goes on forever! Some of those levels I do not believe can be done by a human.Quote:

Guildenstern in Vagrant Story. I spent 2 hours fighting it first time, my weapons were doing 0 damage to him, he was staying out the reach of my attacks, and his flying around was really annoying. Finally he finished me off, but I before I died, I found the way to get him. Just watch for Ultimate attacks, and reflect them back at him.
So couple tries later, he was Done. And by his own attack :p
Now, that made me feel soo good :p
The only boss I can think of would be the main baddie from Serious Sam. Unload countless amounts of ammo onto him, and nothing happens. That's about it, really.

Its been A LONG time since ive pulled this out but I could never beat the final guy..
Justice in Guilty Gears. I fought really hard to get to Testament, he was tought, and took me a while but I beat him. But after his defeat, I had to meet with Justice, and what the cheap bastard he is. After eternaty of looses and restarts, I finally gave up on him.
Some day I will get him though. Some day.
Contra: SS - that last guy tore me a new one. I even managed to reach him without dying, and...whoops! There goes a continue. And another. And another. Cheap sphere's of death...
Completely different genre, but I'd consider the black Diablo in Ridge Racer to be a boss, and he was an evil, evil bastard. But that's probably just me.
