Ultimately to me this is very concrete, however its what I study. There are n dimensions because they have all been defined and accounted for. So they exist. Its kind of like when you prove that n^3+5n is divisible by 6... you solve it for 1, assume it for k, solve it for k+1, and you just solved it for everything. No need to solve for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6....
