WoW. Awesome List !!! All those great titles !!! Or not.
From the list there I only care about Ikaruga.
Thanks god for Capcom. At least their games will keep my Cube going.
Congrats, Despair, on your 5000th-and-change Nintendo-hating post!
I don't think he hates Nintendo.
He just hates anything which he percieves as "kiddie".
...although, after looking at the list, I almost have to kind of agree with Despair.
Yeah, tell me Despair's not right. There's like 5 things that aren't mediocre to bad on that list.
EDIT: Okay, I haven't actually played any of them, so I can't say they're bad. But it really looks like the same old shovelware Nintendo console release list.
I didn't read the list...I just felt like starting a ruckus.
Well, it's better than the Cube release list for the same period last year.
I've got my eye on NBA Street Vol. 2, Ikaruga, D&D Heroes, Zelda, Wario World, and F-Zero.
And like burgandy said, this list is much better than last year when Resident Evil and NBA Street were the only games I was interested in.
It's going to be a very bright year for the GC.
I see no Fire Emblem on that list, thanks a lot Nintendo :(
With what? Games on that list?Quote:

I only got 3 possibles, 1 definite on that list. Most of them are either on another console and suck there, or just suck.
Definite Buys:
The Legend of Zelda®: The Wind Waker™ – Nintendo (March)
Possible buys:
Batman Dark Tomorrow
Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter – Vivendi Universal
F-Zero® – Nintendo (June)
Mace sounds interesting, from what I know, FPS and Starlancer-esque gameplay, but, I'm not sure if that, and Batman, are going to be on other consoles. In that case, best overall version would get a buy from me.
Looks pretty lean to me, out of all these,,how many are exlusive games, anyways?:
All Star Baseball 2004 – Acclaim (First Quarter 2003)
ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 – Acclaim (Q1)
Vexx – Acclaim (Q1)
X2: Wolverine’s Revenge – Activision (Q2)
Lost Kingdoms 2 – Activision (Q2)
Resident Evil 2 – Capcom (Q1)

Army Men: Sarge’s War – 3DO (Q1)
High Heat MLB 2004 – 3DO (Q2)

Army Men: RTS – 3DO (Q2)
Jacked – 3DO (Q2)

I have to agree, that is a pretty lame list.Quote:

Zelda and F-Zero are the only ones I definately want on GameCube, Ikaruga and Skies of Arcadia I will probably get but I already own them both on Dreamcast so I will probably wait till they drop in price before I do.
There are more GBA games I want, but maybe only a half a dozen at most.
I dunno - it looks pretty exhaustive to me. I'm only interested in Zelda and F-Zero, and maybe Wario World and SlugFest, from that list.Quote:

Where the hell is Soul Calibur II?
The list doesnt have any of Capcom games either. What was the point in posting incomplete list, especially one the missing quite a few BIG games?
No capcom games? What is RE then? hah!
They are missing those 5 capcom games, though.
Resident Evil 2 and 3, Wind Waker, Wario World, F-Zero and Ikuraga are the only games I want for the gamecube throughout all of 2003? Fuck man........... no..... AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE RE 2 AND 3 and am grasping for extras here!
EDIT: Def Jam Vandetta looks interesting to me, although I hate rap.
Ummm... it says that list is for the first 6 months of 2003, not the entire year. It leaves off a lot of stuff that should (hopefully) be out by mid- or late year. The Capcom 5, Rayman 3, Soul Calibur 2, Starcraft Ghost, Mario Kart (online?), Mario Golf, Giftpia, FF:Crystal Chronicles, Tales of Phantasia, new Starfox, just off the top of my head. There's a lot of filler on that list, but the good stuff should keep up my current Cube ratio of about 1 must-have per month going strong. Zelda is on pre-order, Skies, Wario, F-Zero, Ikaruga, and Micro Machines will all get a good long look from me.
I am interested in seeing what this Micro Machines game will be like.
I was sadend to see 1080 not on that list, I really liked what I played of it at Cube Club a few months back.

Who thinks we'll see Mario Party 5 on the next list before we see Mario Golf, Tennis, or Kart show up on any list?
Ikaruga. Zelda. Bust a Move.
Thats it for me.
Are they coming out in the first half of 2003?Quote:

I'm suprised to not see PN05 in May or June.
From a third party perspective, thats about what i would expect; a bunch of multiplatform crap and a cool few exclusive games(SoA, Ikaruga, LK2). Three must have Nintendo-published games in the first 6 months is better than usual.
Between 6 games on that list, importing PN05, Puzzle collection, and the GBA-cube player, it'll be a busy 6 months for me on gamecube.
Not a bad list if the games turn out good as ports and games themselves. So far I'm interested in:
Vexx – Acclaim (Q1)- Still alittle freaked out by the design but the gameplay looked cool from the vids. Here's hoping all of them look just as good as the other platform.
X2: Wolverine’s Revenge – Activision (Q2)- A cool comic book game that might turn out good. If it does, it would be a good counter balance to those shitty Superman games aside from the ok PS2 one.
Lost Kingdoms 2 – Activision (Q2)- Still want the first one but this one should kick ass.
Hitman 2 – Eidos Interactive (Q1)- If it's better looking than the PS2 version and a little less than the X-Box version I'll get it.
Def Jam Vendetta – Electronic Arts (Q1)- Love the EA big games and plus the game will more likely look smoother than the PS2 version.
NBA Street Vol. 2 – Electronic Arts (Q1)- Same as Def Jam.
Enter the Matrix – Infogrames (Q2)- Most likely X-Box version will have something extra or better graphics but if not I'll get it.
Ikaruga – Infogrames (Q2)- Definitely getting this.
Superman: Shadow of Apokolips – Infogrames (Q1)- Thought this one would never come out making me almost beleive it would be PS2 only but it depends on how well it's ported.
Batman Dark Tomorrow – Kemco USA (Q1)- Should be a cool Batman comic game. Vengence was good but this should display his full range of abilities hopefully.
Disney’s Sports: Basketball – Konami (Q1)- Man enough with this bullshit Konami, it's all or nothing and this is basically nothing. Fuck you(for now).
Black & Bruised – Majesco (Q1)- Shallow fighter based on the demo, looks very nice though, if they fix the gameplay(shyeah) I'll get it.
Skies of Arcadia – Sega (Q1)- Directors cut of the greatest RPG I've played thus far.
Summoner: A Goddess Reborn – THQ (Q1)- If it's a good or better port I might rent first.
Red Faction II – THQ (Q1)- I'll pick it up in the bargain bin most likely.
The Hulk – Vivendi Universal (Q1)- Don't know what to expect here, here's hoping.
Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter – Vivendi Universal (Q2)- Odd, first was an X-Box exclusive with a cool looking character. He looks more generic now but it still looks good.
The Legend of Zelda®: The Wind Waker™ – Nintendo (March)- A given.
Wario World™ – Nintendo (May)- Looks good.
F-Zero® – Nintendo (June)- This is going to kick ever racers ass.
Where's Ultimate Muscle? I thought that game was suppose to come out in april. Anyone else see the videos for that? It looks pretty cool.
I think he only read the topic title :pQuote:

Oh hey a list. Lesse... um. Shit. Even the people that normally give other people shit for bitching are bitching. Well the least I can say is that Ika ain't bad and it seems highly unlikely that the upcoming F-Zero will be less than average. Otherwise... I'll just show myself the door, here.
Give me Zelda, F-Zero, and Skies of Arcadia. That's all.
Looks like another year of Xbox love for me.
*sees Ikaruga on the list*
*shoots self*
Now the real dilemma comes to mind...do I get the GC version anyway, even though I just bought it, or live with the DC version? Or..wait..sell the DC one and get the GC one...man, I wish was just a little more patient with that purchase...
As for the rest of the list...lame. ass. I'm about two steps away from selling this friggin system. Where's Warioworld? Where's all the Nintendo games? Where's anything with the slightest amount of exclusive nature? I don't need a box that comes with games when reviews thumb it and say 'even the PS2 version is better than this'
*sigh*
I just want to see some games that make me remember why the hell I even bought this...Zelda and F-Zero notwithstanding. But where's all the 'newer' stuff?
You just hate Nintendo because it's kiddie!!!
on ikaruga
as with some of the other people w/the dc version, ill probably pick up the gc one mainly because im afraid of my dc dying. otherwise theres the internet ranking thing (yes i realize tnl has an ika scoreboard, im on there). as for other extras, someone on the shooterforum said:
"Quick buyers will be able to snag the "Ikaruga paperback" which I managed to make a bad scan of."
dont know if it came w/the game as a limited thing or what though
My goodness.... that's a pretty vacant GCN list for my tastes. The only Gamecube-exclusive I am interested in on the entire list is F-Zero. :(
Don't start =pQuote:

that list is far from definitive. capcom said Megaman will be out before June. there there is MUSCLE and that one piece game that i'm looking forward to.
I am interested in: F-zero, Rayman 3, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Soul Calibur 2, Splinter Cell, and Zelda: The Wind Waker. Hopefully i'll have enough $$ then to purchase them:D

I'm sorry, but have you actually looked at the list yet?
~edit~
Apperently burg asked that already.
Heaven forbid someone try to find something they like in gaming.
Agreed. That list is fine, most of it is going to be on the other systems as well so it's not like it's the only system that has ports. You get your tasty F-Zero GC, Wario World and Zelda for Nintendo exclusives with some decent to pretty good 3rd party stuff.Quote:

I say the more 3rd party stuff the better as long as GC still has exclusive games to keep it afloat.
How many do they have? I don't care if they're 1st party, that almost always assures us, gamers, quality. However, it is not necessary. If a game is exclusive to the gamecube is what I really care about. Most ports seem to be made for the PS2 originally anyway so the systems they are trekked to don't hold htem as well as they should.Quote:

F-Zerio, Wario World, Wind Waker, Def Jam Vandetta (Nintendo and wrestling games go hand in hand), Ultimate Muscle, PN 0.3., Viewtiful Joe and the new megaman are the things I want, now that I review harder.
1080 Avalanche will be wicked, but in the end it'll be my PS2 that has all the terrifically high amounts of decent titles to fill.
I love exclusives and I think all the systems should have as many exclusives as they can get but while you wait for the good stuff there needs to be a steady flow of games as well from 3rd parties.Quote:

I get annoyed when GC ports are inferior to the PS2 or X-Box versions at times but if they are middleground or in the same area as the best version available I'm fine. Some people don't have multiple consoles so they don't have much choice and they enjoy what they can.
I'd be interested in mario kart, but isn't that a ways off from US release? Like 11 months or so?
And Cube Wars, that would be a good one.
cube wars is still just purely wishing/speculation i think (wouldnt mind if they milked advance wars 2 with a gc link feature...), and theres still like absolutely no info on mariokart, cept maybe its coming sometime this year i think.
From that list, I'll definitely buy Zelda (I've got it pre-ordered), F-Zero, and Ikaruga. Wario World and Skies of Arcadia look good as well. I think this list only covers games that will be released January-May(otherwise, Viewtiful Joe would be on the list since it's due this summer), so Nintendo probably has a lot of suprises in store for E3. I'm not complaining, the only Gamecube game that interested me during this period last year was Resident Evil.
