Check out this sad info from Magic Box about Live in Japan...
Microsoft has launched the Xbox Live service in Japan, and 50,000 units of the Xbox Live Starter Kit were shipped. So far only 8,928 units were sold.
Ugh. That sucks hard. I knew things were bad over there for the Xbox but daaaaaamn.
Those are the first day sales.

Xbox outsold Gamecube by nearly a half million units in the US alone in December, and outsold GC in the EU. I think that's what he's talking about :pQuote:

The prospect of Xbox's LIVE service didn't do anything for me. Then I bought it. I've already had my money's worth in fun, and frankly, even a handful of decent LIVE titles (which there will be) is more than enough for me. So far, so good.
Yes, I must say that the PS2 Online is equally barren to me. Guess it's good that I have the PC then.
