Protect Children from Videogame Violence & Sex Act

The bill is being based on a St. Louis ordinance.

I'll say it again... let the parents theirselves do the enforcing if they wish to keep violent games out of the hands of minors. Not the government.

If the government is going to do this, why don't they intervene with regard to TV programming? You'll see worse stuff on the tube.

Anyway, this bill is unconstitutionally overbroad. Congress could regulate the few titles that have true obscenity, but mere violence isn't obscenity.

That said, cash-grabbing retailers need to start enforcing ESRB guidelines, and if that means another BMX XXX doesn't hit the streets, count your blessings.

Anything that gets retailers to enforce the ratings is a good move in my book.
