I remember reading about this subject about a year ago. I went to the linked forum in which they were discussing the illegal workings of Dion and company. They would destroy several copies of a legit game, to make their burned copies with new cases, different stickers and new inserts. The guy that posted about these guys, had pictures of the inside of one cartridge he purchase from them. The solder joints were poorly done and one even had two pins shorted together by the solder. He was trying to get his money back from the two assholes and they gave him a bunch of bullshit responses. Heavy fines and jail time is due to these two assloads.
I never was, and probably never will be part of the "NeoGeo scene". However, after reading about these dickwads and the crap they've done, I'm all in favor of someone unloading a nice Denial-of-Service attack on them. I'm not a proponent of internet vandalism, mind you...it would just be nice for someone to knock their webpage out. If even for a little while.
Scratch that. Make it them, and Buyrite.;)
eBay used games are your friend, trust me. If I didn't have to worry about constantly being on the move, I'd get myself a full MVS cabinet. Maybe someday :) but I'm happy for now.Quote:

You can find some of the Neo-Geo's older titles at www.telegames.com
I'm not sure about this one, but I think the www.mcvans.com also carries Neo-Geo games.

Don't worry about what you may be reading about Playmore vs. NeoGeoFreak. They tried to get a preliminary injunction against us but failed. They actually made the mistake of seizing uninfringing items from us and when we all went to court Playmore pretty much got blasted by the courts. They were ordered by the judge to send back all of the personal items and non-infringing items (such as KoF2000, etc..). When we went to court we showed proof and all our receipts and documents of our agreements with the old SNK of Japan and the courts found everything in our favor and the preliminary injunction they wanted was flat out denied.
Basically Playmore was not aware of our dealings with SNK and they were just trying to cover themselves (and I don't blame them). Playmore had to post a $5000 bond to even get any of this started and they already lost that plus more money with the courts.
Now we are working on a counter-suit or hopefully a settlement of some kind for their mistake. All they had to do was look at their records (SNK records) and see all of our negotiations, dealings, contracts, and purchases. Basically, Playmore screwed up.
I just wanted to give you a heads up on some of the stories on what's going on because some people don't know and fully understand. At least people can rest assured that the English KoF2000 exclusively from NeoGeoFreak is official and authorized by Playmore, SNK NeoGeo USA, and the US District Court. And also people can see that Playmore also listed that we had Warlocks of the Fates.

Good to see Technosphile knows the score. Before neo-geo.com, home cart prices were at a reasonable level. It's been downhill ever since, no thanks to that 'price guide'. The titles will not be "overstock" of one or two titles. Basically we will give you anywhere from 2 to 12 copies of each title if you're interested. Your order will consist of about 500 NEW AES carts of over 70 different titles.
This will without a doubt make you and your site the world leader in NeoGeo and items you have and can offer people. We can keep this all private and no one needs to know (unless you want to advertise it)(we won't). We will not be competing with you because the best way is for only one site with direct access to make the sales. We will also direct all people who contact us to your site so you can get all the sales and help you move more of your other items. We want to work together and promote the NeoGeo as best as we can.
