Are there any games that were announced a long time ago that got your interest, then dropped off the face of the earth? One game I can think of that I'd like to see more of is that 2D vs 3D game Square was making. It seems every day Square is announcing the new features in FFX2 or FFT2, yet I haven't seen anything on the above mentioned game in months.
I kinda always wondered what happened to Primal Rage II and that Jackie Chan fighter by Kemco, both were arcade games. I played them only once or twice on beta test before they were never seen again.
I'd like to hear something else about the new Shining Force game which was announced at last years at E3... but which nothing has been heard of since.
Planet Harriers. There were rumours of it coming to Gamecube, but I've not really heard anything else about the game.
I've always wondered what happened to the Saturn port of the Sonic arcade game.

I'll second that. If I were 3d Realms (or whoever the hell owns the right to Duke now), I'd just write the whole thing off as loss (like Half Life DC). I'm sure that there is vitrually no interest in the game anymore...but it would be funny to see it hit the 10 year anniversary of development:lol:
Speaking of PC games, Team Fortress 2 up and dissapeared. Its a shame, too; I used to play Half Life TFC religiously, so I was looking forward to it:(

Hey does anyone remember how about a ~year ago, someone went and re-registered the whole "downtown nekketsu" copyright or whatever in Japan, which would lead one to believe that another River City Ransom-related title would be upcoming... was that just complete BS from the start?
I also want to know as much detail as possible regarding the cancellation of Thunder Force 6. I want to know the exact day that the decision to stop production of the title was made, so that time-travel can have a good use in the future.
I also want to know why it's so difficult to get a straight answer regarding shooter titles coming to consoles. For damn near every other arcade title, you either know a home version is coming or not.
And on a personal note, Konami better have some answers regarding future Beatmania (notice, not DDR, not Bemani) titles or I will be pissed.
Exactly my thoughts. I've never looked so forward to a game that wasn't released. You're the only person besides myself that I've seen ever bring this game up. One other person on these boards knew what I was speaking about once in an older thread. That wasn't you was it?Quote:
