I just picked up PSO for Xbox used and was wondering about the 4-player offline mode. It didn't come with any instructions, so I'm not able to look up the info I want.
Does the multiplayer mode follow a storyline or have quests in it?

Ok, I've been 80+ for 3 days now... I've played maybe 2 games with NGE, and Korly, if that.
My ranger has been level 87 for about a week. I just got tired of playing him. My force is a bunch more fun and is already level 61 so I doubt I'll go back to my ranger. I already transfered most of his stuff to the force anyway.
Oi, Melf -- I'd have accepted your invite if I'd known you weren't running about in ultimate. My force is level 50.
I'm only going to use my ranger to make some cash runs in ultimate. My force is at level 62 so I'm sticking with her.
We have to tackle episode 2 together! The last time hayato, Chux, and I did it was a blast.
I'd definitely be game for that. Not nearly enough EPII runs available out there.
I haven't even been all the way through EP II once, so I'm definitely up for some v.hard action.

One of the interesting side effects of having to transfer your character is that you can leave them someplace despite having brought your memory card back with you.
My RAmar's at a friend's house, and with his future mother in law visiting I don't think I'll get him back any time soon. In the meantime I've started a FOmar named Sun Tzu, so if you see him running around Davburite 7, it's me.
I haven't played in over a month, and I'm only a level 38 ranger. I want to catch up to everybody here, so if anyone could donate some cool stuff to help me out, or help me level up once I get to 40, I'd be very grateful. Let me know if you can help.

Whenever I get my box back, I can help you out Steve. I transferred Chucker to the mem card before I took the box to Pandora's though.
Just be very careful with that - it's easy to get your character stranded on someone else's machine. Just make sure you put him back on the card when you're done playing somewhere else (you have to move him onto another machine to play him), and don't try to put another character on the same card - I ended up losing all my items that way.Quote:

No PK, duping not too common as it was before, hacking isn't anything to worry.

Since your starting to play on XBOX, I have to warn you about the freezing problem. Occasionally your game will freeze online and you will lose all items you have on your character that are not equiped. So I would only run around online with one good weapon equipped. Firstly, why the hell couldn't they get the aiming problems fixed yet? you'd think they could get it right after 4 or 5 versions, the camera on the first boss still sucks, and I got the Black Screen of Death(lost a ton of stuff :(.
Still I'm very happy with this. The community is great the new items are awesome. I got a Sega Saturn but don't want to use it yet. Voice masking is stupid though. unless tou want to sounld like an 8 yr old school girl. but most of the new features rock. So far I'm pleased.

Last night was my first time going online with PSO on the Xbox. I'm a HUnewearl (and a pretty hot one at that :D ), and I always heard of lame gamers hitting on girl characters, but never expected it to be actually true. Well I ate a lot of crow last night.
The dudes wouldn't let up!! One guy was even chasing me around the lobby. Lots of guys trying to hit on me and stuff. And the funny thing is that I don't have a working communicator, so they can't hear my voice to automatically know I was a guy. Granted, at first it was funny, even kinda fun. I was laughing hysterically at what this one guy was doing and saying. But it went into perv land after a spell, with this one guy wanting to essentially cyber with me in another lobby. I left, with another friend whom I was talking to over the phone. Strange events. :wtf:
But I really didn't meet up with any new people. Not having a communicator makes things difficult. I'm planning on getting one this weekend, so it's not all bad. But I'd like to play with people that I'm at least comfortable around, if not know.

I just got that hellish FSOD!! I can't believe it!! I just read up about it yesterday AND IT HAPPENS TONIGHT!!!
At least I didn't lose too much stuff. But I did lose two hunter weapons I just aquired yesterday (Yamato and Red Saber). I also lost a mechgun with 30%hit. That doesn't sound like a lot, but I've been using it since I started. I loved that gun.
It happened when I tried to enter another block of the first ship. It was almost full, but I still don't understand how it happened.
So no more PSO for tonight. That killed my mood. I'll be on tomorrow night if anyone still plays.
