Sakura Taisen PS2 Trailer

The remake is never coming to the US. What's coming to the US is ST5 'Action' which basically means 'editing out all the stuff that people in the US may not like.' Bah to that.

I'd buy this just for the improved battle system alone, but it's clear from the trailer that's not the only thing they're added to this.

Playing through ST3 again now in anticipation for this. Battle system may be easy, but it's still lots of fun for me. Damn, the casino is hard though. Erica destroyed me in a poker game. Good thing it doesn't auto save. :p

Sounds like I'll just get a Japanese PS2, even though my wallet protests. Would be nice to have a region 2 DVD player as well anyway.

Maybe they'd bring it over if the ST5 remake is a smash hit.. ha! As if that'd happen. :p

You could always get the new Sakura color import PS2 to match. :p

Is there really one? It would go well with my Sakura Taisen dreamcast.

It really sucks when every bit of Sakura Taisen anime is coming or is already out in the US, but the series it's based on doesn't get the green light. Funimation just announced they're bringing the Sumire OAV and the 3 OAVs based on ST3 to the US.

I'm starting to think we'll see the live action musicals in the US before any of the games. :(

I can't a find a pic right now of the new PS2 (I could've sworn it was on NCS' page recently), it's actually just a nice metallic pink color, not directly related to ST, although it'll be released on the same day on 2/20.

As for ST in the U.S., chalk it up to I'll believe it when I see it. Then again, do we really want to play a dubbed version?

Okay, now that I want a Japanese PS2, anyone know where I can actually buy one? videogamedepot.com doesn't seem to have any PS2s at all, which is odd because I thought I saw some yesterday on their site, and NCS only has the asian (region 3) and that's not even in stock. They do have preorder of Sakura Taisen memory card, which is tempting...

ST5 Action was officially announced for the US, though not every announced game ever comes here.

Hmm, they have a pre-modded system (though I'm worried about 'doesn't play mod blocked games'), a Japanese system (which is more money than the modded one), and pre-order for the 'Sakura' PS2, which is just pink and has nothing to do with the Sakura Taisen series. Not to mention it's $50 more than the regular Japanese one...

Get the pink one... you know you want to.

Ammadeau, just get a FlipTop to play JPN PS2 games.

But... it isn't pink!
