In their Spyware Weekly, there's a bit about "dialers" which have left some people stuck with obscene phone bills. spywareinfo.com
One good read there is their page on the insidious lop.com - which installs a really nasty piece of hijackware.

Yep... Cable modems rule. My machine doesn't have a regular modem in it- and if it did, Zone Alarm Pro would catch it in the act. A firewall of some sort is a must in these times.Quote:
