Favorite Stormtrooper?

Eh, I dunno, this idea just popped into my head.

Of course, we love them all, but which Stormtrooper is your favorite? Here's the run-down:

First, we have the plain ol' vanilla Stormtroopers that everyone knows and loves.

Then we have the Desert Troopers. Basicall the same as the regular troopers but with big nifty backpacks.

Then there's the Snowtroopers. Probably the goofiest looking of the Empire's forces.

Then, there's my personal favorites, the Endor Bike Troopers. I just really dig the design of their armor.

Of course, there's the TIE Fighter pilots, who wear pressurized black Stormtrooper armor, so I guess they count.

And finally, we have the granddaddys of them all, the Clone Troopers. Sort of a cross between a Stormtrooper and Jango Fett.

The speeder bikes are easily one of my favorite vehicle design from any science fiction.

It's also one of the few Star Wars toys that I've re-purchased since I was a little kid.

My favorite Stormtrooper is the one in A New Hope on the Death Star, after Luke, Han and Chewie go after the Princess and leave 3po and d2 in the room.

When the Stormtoopers enter the room, watch the one on the right of the screen. Slo-mo it if you can. It's HILARIOUS!!! HA! These are the regular, vanilla Stormtrooper btw [just to stay on topic].

But do it! And slo-mo it! And when it happens, think of Homer Simpson's "Doh!"

Ah, yes, That's a classic. One has to wonder if that was done on purpose or if it was just a goof that somehow made it's way into the movie.

Same here- I have the stand alone figure, the one with the speeder bike, and the Lego version.

Ever see the HUGE foot-tall bike trooper doll with speeder bike? Insane.

Yep.

It was a Target exclusive if I remember correctly. They ended up releasing a Speeder Bike with Luke...and then later on one with a Storm Trooper.

I never got around to picking one up though...

There are Sand troopers, Storm troopers, Snow troopers and Scout troopers, I prefer the Storm troopers. Oh there is also, Imperial Gunners and the TIE fighter pilots.

And what's the point of body armor if it can't withstand a single blaster shot? Is it to protect them from hot coffee?

Well, I like those Black Armored troopers :p

And ofcourse, Imprerial Guards with thos kick ass Red Armor.

I liked the one that hit his head on the door.

Hmmm I like stormtroopers from the list given. But really, Imperial Gaurds kick so much ass...

Do those red ones count?

Yeah, the red Guards are cool, but I still think the speeder bike troopers are the coolest. Even their pistols are cool. That's so weird, though, it thought I was the only one...

I guess I'm a fan of the plain ol' vanilla stormtrooper you see in Ep. 4.

I want to see those Red ones fight, they just stand there. I want to these dudes mad skills. I bet they make White ones looks like candied apples.

You are not alone. :) Yeah, I really liked their pistols too, with the snub-nose and the two finger grip. Sweet.

I don't think so, because they don't really fit the Stormtrooper armor template (they wear robes with just a helmet, not full body armor, at least not armor we can see), but if anyone wants to pick 'em, go right ahead. They really did nothing but stand there. I mean, where were they when Vader pitched the Emperor down that pit? Probably watching the Spice Channel. And what would they have done, anyway? Poke Vader with their pointy little spears? :)

It's funny, though, in the SNES Return of the Jedi game, you have to fight the Imperial Guard, and they use the spears like glowing hockey sticks. :lol:

Still they look good :) Blame Lucas for not using them properly. I'm sure you got to have some mad skills to be accepted into Imperial Guards.
