I asked her tonight how things are going, and if she likes it and all that.

When I left her house, she was on the island after the 1st dungeon, and she says that she did some things on the merchant island, found the 'lit'le green man in tights' and is trying to catch the kids. She says one of them is too tough for her to get and she can see the other in the telescope, but can't reach him yet.

She seems to really like it and is very impressed with it, and that's a good thing. If moms can dig it, and it's not too tough for her (like SMS was, where she wanted to play it more but just could not do certain things), then it's a good nintendo game.

That was amazing. However, I'm not sure if I like it more then OoT as an overall package, and that final battle was less than impressive after demon Ganon.

Just wanted to toss that out there, I might do a full bit on my thoughts later.

Less than impresive, but an all around cooler fight imo. the finishing blow was great.:)

Question: Does anyone know how long Wind Waker was development? And how large the development team was?

I don't think reading a huge Zelda: Wind Waker thread is the best way to go about not getting spoiled. Wait until you get the game and then come in and talk about it.

Otherwise what's the point?

I think it's been in development since Majora's Mask -- the concept. I believe they scrapped the graphics engine, not the entire concept.

But Miyamoto has been known to do that, so who knows?

Just in case you're refering to me and misinterpreted what I wrote, "demon Ganon" was a reference to OoT.

I found the "puppet show" to be more annoying than difficult, and the final battle seemed like the first part of the final battle. It felt to me like it was over a battle too quick, and after demon Ganon I had pretty high expectations for a cool looking last battle. Even if they had merely recycled that fight blow for blow I think I would've been happier (although everyone else would've bitched). It was cool, no doubt, just less impressive to me.
