Are you hiding in barrels? As long as you don't move when they look, or they don't bump into you, you're invisible to Moblins and searchlights.
I can't believe anyone is stuck there... really. I guess you wouldn't lie about it. OK.

Yeah, I'm using the barrels.
This game has really been a mixed bag for me. I made it to the Triforce fetch stuff, and I don't know if I'm going to continue. All of this running around doing crazy stuff really seems like it should be optional. I really don't want to have to do all this crap.
The entire game just seems really drawn out, like they are artificially extending the game. There's tons of examples: travelling on the boat takes forever, needless dialogue (explaining some items each time you get them, etc.), opening chests takes too long, unskippable cut-scenes, the wind waker thing takes forever, having to talk to fish for the map thing, the list goes on and on. Maybe I'm entirely too impatient, but I play the game an hour and feel like I've done nothing--because I haven't. When I realized everything I had to do to get all the triforce, I almost hurled objects at my television. It's almost like being forced to get Knights of the Round and beat Emerald and Ruby Weapons in order to get to the last boss of FF7.
Besides all that stuff, though, the game is great. I really like the dungeons. The camera and fighting is definitely a step-up from OoT. The puzzles seem interesting; the boss fights are gimmicky (like all Zeldas, I guess) but fun. The only problem is that there is just entirely too much stuff that you have to sit through or stuff that you have to do that isn't fun.
i couldn't even get that far before i felt that way about the game. like i said, none of the stuff you really feel like is ever that important. a lot of it feels like a chore, and just isn't any fun personally.Quote:

seriously, how fuckin long did it take for the game to seriously get started in Wind Waker? it took soooo long. like getting your sword took forever compared to everything else in the series. that was really annoying to me for some reason.Quote:

yeah, i didn't think the game was. i thought controls were much better in Wind Waker, and gameplay was more polished for sure, but the games design, and dungeons really weren't that fun for me, i sorta felt bad playing them at times. once again, this game is seriously lacking in the Miyamoto department. Nintendo does indeed have other really good talent, and Aonuma is one of them, but this guy is not good enough to be given something like Zelda.Quote:

crazy times we're going through, i never saw this one coming.
That only takes about an hour once you know what you're doing, IIRC. The rest of what you mentioned was also in OoT, although travelling seems less drawn out because you had to actually press directions to get Link back and forth instead of being able to set sail and just sit back. I personally felt it went a lot quicker and smoother then previous Zelda's in terms of flow, but I already went over my views earlier.Quote:

 enemys would fuck you in one way or another. either to slow down so you can attack them, or cause you'd get knocked off your ship because of them.Quote:

or did this only happen to me out of nowhere?
Are you talking about those giant spinning enemies on the ocean? If so, I ignored every single ocean-bearing enemy except the ones near a Triforce piece and when I occasionally felt like collecting treasure at one of the reefs. They never bothered me because I never bothered with them.Quote:

I think it's a great game, with a few nagging things. DC2 was better, but it's still a great game.
I finally got past it last night. Boy was that difficult. Now I'm at Windfall Island :)
At Dragon Roost now... sailing doesn't seem that bad...
