Mech Assault
There are 2 new mechs and 2 new levels but still no capture the flag:mad: Oh well, it looks like maybe I'll play this game again after the CTF mode is available. I didn't put this in the Online matchmaking section because next to no one would see it there so move it if you like.

Shouldn't need to be there since it's general talk about the game. I love the two new levels, but the two new mechs are pretty useless from what I've seen. New stuff is always fun, tho. :D

The 2 new mechs are useless now, but the flagrunners will want to be them in CTF :)
Maybe CTF will teach people that teamwork is actually required for some modes.

Okay, like he said, new content is up. The new mech's are all right (corvus is a bit better IMO) and the new maps are pretty nice as well. Stone Cold is just all righ, and suffers a bit from "River City Syndrome", in that, as soon as all the ice pillars and what not are blown up, it's sort-of wide open, with power-ups spawning in the middle for those who want to brave it and get them. It's smaller though, so, sniping isn't as much as a viable tactic; small mechs can close the distance pretty quick and avoid the long-range tracking fire. Also, unlike the majority of River City, jump jets are pretty useful. Hell's Kitchen though, is genius. I can't really explain it all, but the design is just great. It allows for just about every viable strategy, and just about any mech can excel given you're a competent player. Plus, they have power-ups spawning on a small island in the middle of lava (covered with a very explosive structure) so it's great fun seeing who wants to risk jumping out there to get them.
Also, with people playing the new mechs so much, Ballistic upgrades are more prominent, balancing things out a bit. At least for now (I think people will get tired of the new mechs until CTF comes out).
also: I find the mechs far from useless. As an avid Kit Fox player, I can attest to huge advantage it is denying the enemy most power-ups. Also, the Corvus can knock mechs over, which is always useful.

Btw, if you download the content and it crashes on a download, you'll need to reboot your Xbox, go into your Memory Manager, then find the download that crapped out and delete it. If you try to download it without starting from scratch, so to speak, the download tends to continually error out.
Here's to hoping they make some lobby changes with the next release, and that it doesn't take 4 months for the next DLC to get out.
