On a related note, he was in an episode of Futurama that aired recently.
Uh, you thought the creator of Dungeons and Dragons was the raddest guy on earth, cruising the globe with lingerie models on each arm and a superman physique?
I always figured anybody who'd include themselves in their own rpg as the all-powerful wizard "Gygar" had to be a turbo-dork of the first magnitude.
Not at all. I just didn't think he looked like someone's grandpa.
...and lingerie models would have looked out of place, unless they had chainmail and battle axes. ;)
