United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan said he "utterly condemns the terrorist attack," adding in his statement that he was increasingly concerned by the steady escalation of violence between Israelis and the Palestinians, which since January has killed 176 Palestinians and 30 Israelis.

"There is no justification for attacks on innocent civilians. Attacks like these will not help the Palestinian cause. Once again, I urge all parties to do everything they can to prevent further bloodshed on both sides," he said.

Ok, seriously. As much as I support parts of the Anti-War movement, THIS is some stupid, stupid shit.

If by stupid you mean pointless, yup, it is.

People are standing up for what they believe in. I don't see what's so stupid about that. They even had a purpose for doing it at school (the costs to education) and it was college and university students aswell who protested. (not just some kids trying to cut class, for the most part)

A bus was just bombed, killing 15 Israelis. It was the third such attack in the past week. How do they get only 30 Isrealis dead since January, when half of such a number happened on one day? How did only 15 other Israelis die in the past two months, especially during such an escalation of violence?

imo, those numbers are highly one-sided, trying to paint a picture for a political agenda.

This T-shirt ordeal is a farce. This is beginning to reek of the 1950's Red Scare. Obviously people haven't learned a damn thing. It's McCarthyism all over again.

You're right. Some of the numbers are probably a little skewed, but the idea is not quantitative. The idea is that the ratio between Israeli's being killed and Palestinians being killed is disproportionate.
