A couple were Israelis, most were Americans and one Finnish person. Everyone in Israel lives fine? No. Of course not. But generally, yes. Have you ever been there? I know a lot of people who've been there. The place is alright. Arabs and Israelis get along just fine. And they've both got good jobs, even though it was the Israelis who had to start the economy in the area.

From books. Someday, you might want to crack one open on the subject. Isreal is in Palestine. Palestine is where Judea was. The Romans came into Judea and renamed it Palestine (naming it after the Philistines) and tried to kick the Jews out. Palestine was then overtaken by the Ottoman empire, in order to get the Romans out of it. The land sat in ruin and unuse until Jewish settlers came in the 1800's.

As it is, I don't see what's so wrong with Israel taking land that was used to attack them. Should they have just said "hey, keep attacking us. we'll just sit here and fuddle around because someone might complain"? No. If you're going to attack somebody, be prepared to be nailed right back. Don't attack someone and expect them to play nice. That isn't how the world works.
