I have to say, so far Treasure seems like the perfect choice to work with R&D1, and Amusement Vision looks to be taking F-Zero to levels I'm not even sure Nintendo could.
So my question to you is... If Nintendo were to cut back on one of your favorite franchises... who would you like to see take it over?
I know many of you would prefer Nintendo to stick to their own franchises... And you're probably right (I thre a hissy fit over the Capcom Zeldas). But that's no fun to talk about. So assume that nintendo simply has to abandon a franchise in order to make some incredible secret project for the sake of this dicussion.
I think Tiwak could make a Donkey Kong Country game about 10 times better than rare ever could. They know the genre well, and they have a flare for artistic style. I have no doubt they could turn out a new classic with the liscense.
If I had to give Zelda to anyone... while Flagship might be the obvious choice, I think I'd entrust it to Westone. I'm sure they could really take it some place new and exciting.
And after playing Moto Racer Advance, I'd like to see what Adeline could do with Excitebike.
Knami could probably spin a good metroid if they wanted too. Castlevania's not a far cry.
You're going to think I'm nuts, but I'd wager NanaOnSha could turn out a mean Earthbound game as well.
Nintendo has cut back on my favorite franchise: Yoshi. I haven't had a decent yoshi game for a console in years. I'm sure the GBA has got to have had a port or something. Man, I need to get me one of those.
Yoshi is my all time favorite mascot and videogame character altogether.

I'm totally the opposite. I like the new DK look.
