Did anyone else catch it? I thought it was a far better format than Politically Incorrect, and HBO fits Maher like a glove. It was smart, and hilarious, and I love how they put stand-ups on there. Sara Silverman was great.

I will never watch this show. Bill Maher is awful. Maybe he's a lot better here than on PI, but PI was such an amazingly bad , shockingly awful show, that I will never ever want to see his face on television again. Politically Incorrect is to television as Swanson Hungry Man Breakfast is to nutritious eating.
There's another reason why I won't watch this - I don't have HBO.
I love this show. Bill Maher is a fantastic guy who isn't afraid to speak whats on his mind and tell the truth. The show is funny and really tells it as it is. Really not surprised to see that diffusion is not a fan. The shows not really ment for the close minded. Anyways, the show is great and you all need to watch it. It might even change your thoughts on politics.
Great show, I'm glad to see he finally got to a "network" that would let him do his show his way. And it's aeons better than Tough Crowd with Collin Quinn.
Fuck you. I gave my reasons for not wanting to see it.
PI convinced me Bill Maher is the king of the assclowns. Maybe Real Time redeems him. Maybe not. I wouldnt know, because Im not gonna watch it.

No, I wouldnt know because I dont get HBO. Read the post, dicklick.
I've seen a little bit of it, and he's pretty funny. Hopefully, the show will get a shot on DVD so that folks without HBO, which is a group that usually includes me, can see it.
Every episode of Real Time is the epitome of "Hit & Miss" comedy. They're especially good when you've got a ring-wing wacko on one side and a left-wing wacko on the other, with just some jerkoff in the middle. There are times when Bill rarely gets a word in edgewise, and if you're familiar with Maher that isn't a common occurance.
And for the record, Al Sharpton pwned all over Ron Silver.
Also, they need to get Clive Barker on this show someday. He made PI worth watching.
I like his guest...but damn can I not stand Bill Maher.
