DAMN! Someone hacked my eBay account

Someone hacked into my account and started 3 auctions for G4 Powerbooks. One has already ended. I just cancelled the other two and I'm emailing the winner of the one that ended. I emailed eBay about it. There are $64 dollars charged to my account. My card I was using and that I have on file with them was ended a long time ago. If anyone has any ideas or help, please reply. I have no clue what do to and I'm scared (these auctions are like $2,000). Fucking goddamn piece of shit.

Mozilla has 128-bit security, just as IE does. You might want to give it a try.

You might also want to make a case sensitive long password on Ebay...

Change it NOW!!

It's a bit more complicated than that... eBay tells me to change my email password incase he got a hold of that. I have no idea how to change it and the ISP I use can't be reached today. eBay sends information on how to change your password to whatever email you have registered with eBay, currently the piece of shit has his in there (or some fake one). If I change it to my normal email he's just going to change it back, then he'll be the one receiving instructions on how to change my password, not me. I can't change the password simply and fast, it has to go through eBay first, and I'm afraid they'll send the instructions to him.

Maybe you should ask ebay to disable the account for a bit. That might help.

Register a www.hotmail.com account and use that untill you change through your isp...

Dump that bogus browser and use something mainstream like IE but keep it updated...

I changed the email back to my normal one and made a new password (turns out you DON'T have to wait for them. It did it immediately). I got Norton Firewall 2003 a little over a month ago but I haven't installed in yet. Fucking figures. I have System Works 2003 as well, but it won't let me install for some reason. eBay says they'll probably suspend the account while they investigate. I'm on dial-up. No broadband around here. My only option would be satellite, but that isn't worth it. I'll switch to using a different browser.. something I already have for the time being. Thanks for that free virus scan. I'm about to run it.
