Thank goodness. No more ads. I love Insider, actually. It's been quite worth it for me.

Nope, you got just as many ads if you were an Insider or not. I'm glad I didn't pay full price- me and two other guys from work split the cost and all use the same user name and password. My girlfriend even uses it from time to time. Which brings to mind one question- what's to stop everyone from doing that?

I have to agree, the Insider services are pretty good, and they seem to have finally fixed most of the technical glitches that were plaguing the site for a while...

yeah a guy i used to work with gave me his user and pass but didnt renew. oh well. i just get the reviews a couple days later and i could live without their "online magazine".

It's much easier to just route all the adservers to 127.0.0.1 in your windows\hosts file (if under 9x). That's what I do. Gets around that pesky ass "anti-popup blocker" sometimes too.

question... is the service really worth the price? I mean most of the media can be found at other places... and similar reviews ad news exist all over the place...

asically what I'm saying is this: is ign so great that its worth my hard earned cash? or should I just keep using free , but possibly lower quality sources?

What the fuck? That's so great... IGN serving up ads to Insiders who are already paying for the service. This isn't a matter of "about time", this is a matter of "what the fuck, who do they think their paying customers are". I dont see any ads on HBO. IGN has no shame.
