Preferred moniker for breasts...

Several threads of late have brought this to my attention...how do you all refer to breasts in normal conversation?

I only wonder, because, ashamed as I am to admit it (okay, not really) I'm a total breast-man, and my girlfriend has them, so they tend to come up in conversation quite a bit. However, she always uses the term "boobs" or "boobies" which I find really annoying (which, I'm guessing, is the main reason she does it). A lot of you seem to use "tits", which around here, is fairly derogatory. So what's the norm?

Be funny if you want, but, I was looking more for euphemisms than slang like "melons" or "funbags" or what have you.

And: Yes, I'm bored, and what I can't look up on the computer at work I can at least talk about :p

I heard them called 'puhjubbies' once.

Bosom is my favorite. It's so sleek.

I like "boobers." Though I don't use that one on a regular basis, some people around here do, and I laugh everytime I read it. :D

I've used "Jubblies" for a while now, though "breasteses" (yes, with two sets of es's) was used before jubblies.

Agreed, I find "teh b00b3rZ" funny to read, but I'd never say it.

Usage can be tricky:
-when talking to the person who's breasts they are: breasts (e.g. "Oops, didn't mean to smoosh your breast [when wrestling]"...or "Yeah, that bra makes your breasts look nice.")

-when referring to a third party's breasts, it's her: chest (e.g. "That girl has got some chest, huh?")

-when referring to them in a non-serious way: boobs (e.g. "She tried to catch the frisbee but they just bounced off her boobs.")

I can't seem to use anything else since it always sounds like they're either being objectified, or it's derogatory.

Boobers is mostly what I use now, due in no small part to this forum, but previously my GF and I called them Bumpies like the kid in Shakespere in Love.

I'm paraphrasing a line from the Big Lebowski basically changing Chinaman and asian americans out for tits and titty americans, all the PC talk made it seem appropriate at the time.

i call them boobs. when in social situations like "hey, you accidentally grabbed my boob, prepare to die, no just kidding."

when talking about someone else its usually breasts, rack, boobs, ganzagaas or titties. for instance on that last one. "Damn girl you got some titties!" when seeing a friend in a piece of revealing clothing.

i heard one guy call boobs "love muffins" :|

M, there is no social situation where you accidentally "grab a boob". Unless maybe it's another female. Guys know where they are at all times. ;)

(however, there may be times where you "accidentally" grab one, like Jiu-jitsu class, but I wouldn't know anything about that)

edit: -and for the worst, when my g/f really wants to make me cringe, she calls them "chesticles". Ew.

I usually say 'rack' when in the general, sexist connotations. Like "Damn! What a rack..."

But in casual conversations I usually use 'chest' or 'breasts'. It's only proper, I suppose :)

I use them all regularly, but one of my faves is "knockers". I don't know, whenever I hear that word, I just get an image of cantalope sized breasteses all of a sudden.

It's tits for me, mostly because they repesent a sort of small perkiness, in my mind anyhow.

Occasionally I call them "tumors" though.

Yes. Generally it depends on who I'm talking to, if I'm at work then it's usually just breasts ("That female had some great breasts.") otherwise it will range into whatever I feel like.

"Tits" is too crude. Any variation of "boobs" just sounds juvenile to me, as do most typical names for them (rack, hooters, jubblies, etc.) I stick with breasts, or bosom(s), or I just find some way to refer to them without calling them by name at all.

Simple, and to the point. So to speak, of course.

We tend to use boobs with my friends. But if we're talking about a girl's traits it'll go something like this:
Friend 1: Yeah, she's really nice and pretty too.
Friend 2: I know right. She has great... big....... personalities
Friend 1: YEAH! I'de... like to get to know her.... personalities

But the latter isn't a moniker. That's what they're actually called (thus, the default choice).

I get complaints about that from time to time; recently one female started saying that using that term made it seem like I was coldly refering to women as "things." I told her she was free to refer to me as "male" but she never started.

I use them at least five days out of the week, since I'm a Beverage Persona. Technically, my job title is something like "Drink Server" but since it's always been the job of the high-school females we hire it's taken on the unofficial moniker of Beverage Girl. Seeing as how I'm not female and one of three males total to ever work the job (the others no longer work here, which makes the sole guy up there), I use the term Beverage Persona.

In any case, I serve drinks and make milkshakes, and the restaurant is well known for its milkshakes so I have to make tons of them every day. That contraption pictured up there was the milk dispenser we used up until a few months ago. We now have a shorter, slightly sleeker one in its place, but that doesn't mean I want to see one outside of work.

Ah...I thought you meant you didn't want to see one directly outside your work, like, right by the door waiting for you.

in situations where i'm talking about some hot girl who is in the vicinity of me and buddies - i usually just grunt alot and make frantic and agitated gestures around the chestural area.

Usually I just call them 'Tits' i dunno i agree, it makes them sounds perfect, and perky! hahaahah ::grin::

One of my buddies calls 'em that. I usually just say breasts or boobs. Or, if it's a girl who don't have very large ones, they might be titties. Hrm.
