I agree, and as far as shallow girls go hs is just full of them. They are so many different types of people out there, but saying that hs relationships never work out in the long run isn't necessarily true. My parents went out a little in hs and they have been happily married for almost 25 years. It does happen, and I've dated bith hs guys and college guys, and frankly I prefer innova to any of them, hands down.
I went out on a date with a girl once. Real cute, but Ditzy. You know the type- she had turned the phrase "Oh my god!" into a single, one-syllable word ("Ohmigod!"). Anyway, her hobby was "TV". Yeah, just TV. And on TV she liked to watch Friends. I confided in her that I didn't watch Friends, nor had I ever even watched a whole episode. "Ohmigod!" she cried. "You don't watch Friends? What's wrong with you? I can't believe you don't watch Friends! What DO you watch? Ohmigod!". I wanted to beat her to death right there. Of course, I didn't, but I never went on a second date with her either (hard choice, since she was damn hot). She was the epitome of the shallow bitch.

I guess they are a bit of a contradiction, they're just two statements from my overall chick philosophy. It's more that shallow chicks suck now matter what, but if you manage to get one just manipulate your way into getting what you need, because the end result isn't worth the effort in trying to change them.
Just tell your friend to let the girl know he's not intrested. Like someone else said, she obviously has self esteem issues. She looks to relationships to comfort her own anxieties. I've actually seen girls like that before. SCARY
Anyway, just try to talk and be a friend to her. Tell her she doesn't need to cling on to a guy to live. In other words, DON'T be a parasite! I've had guys do that to me...NOT FUN.

This girl just needs to get layed. She is'nt going to wait until she's married. That a bunch of B.S. Girls/women are just as horny as men. You just need to know how to work them, to get what your looking for. I don't beleive anyone should get married, before their at least 25. Only then, will a person realise what relationships are really all about. We all chase this imaginary dream person, that really does'nt exist. Maybe this person does, but more often than not, you're going to let yourself down, thinking that you'll be lucky enough to find a person that fits perfectly into that mold,you believe exists.
if all else fails in the situation involve a dead cat. Things get solved quick that way.
