Megaton wasn't a false rumor. The Naruto fighting game for the GameCube(which looks mighty sweet) was the game they were referring to. Its "megaton" because Naruto is the most popular anime in Japan, or something like that.
The 3d glasses/Mario sunshine rumor was pretty good.
