maruchan... just download Mozilla, make sure it loads at runtime, set it as default, if you use the quick launch, put the Mozilla icon there instead of IE, etc... basically make Mozilla your default. You'll get used to it in no time, and with features like tabs, you'll wonder how you ever used IE at all. Seriously, when I have to use IE (because a site is stupidly coded for IE), it feels so primitive and crude that I wonder how that POS got 90% market share.

In Windows98 there's a History folder in the Windows folder.
In Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings then click tools/folder options/check the box to show hidden files you will find history there.

You can always hack your NetBIOS if you want to kill your computer, but clearing you temporary internet files, windows temp files, cookies, and web page history with a good multilayering deleting software, and disabling auto complete, and browsing behind a firewall or two on ghost/stealth mode ought to leave your tacks covered.
