Um lets see if anyone understands my question. How do you get rid of the searches you have done in the past, that show up, when you enter a word, on google or whatever..
example.. google.. I start by putting the letter a.. and all the previous seraches i made that start with show up.. so how do i get rid of this stuff..

Is that part of Auto-Complete? Try turning that off (Tools->Internet Options->Content) and see if that helps you.
Otherwise the children get tubgirl.

As in: A horrible place on the net to represent any "bad" searches he might have done that might appear should anyone begin to type in a beginning letter. Something the children might find.
If you don't know what tubgirl is, then you don't want to know. If you're desperate for info, I believe there's a thread in FC about it that you can feel free to search for.

That's an auto complete thing, just turn that "feature" off, and you should be good to go. Might want to erase temporary files just to be sure though.

The moral of this story is: you never know... could be real.
I don't see how it could be fake...it's kinda hard to fake shit coming of out an asshole. And we even get to see it from a different angle.

But to get back to the original topic...what else keeps track of your internet activities on your PC other than the browser's history and windows' temporary internet files?
I had this popup - you know the kind, for one of those "spy cams" used for "home security". It wasn't anything particularly offensive, but the fucker was like a cockroach. It wouldn't die, even after I turned the machine off.
I eventually just cleared out my history and temporary internet files, but I notice my browser still auto-completes things from before everything was erased. No biggie, since whatever cookie was behind the popup seems to be gone, but I'm curious - where else is web stuff stored? Is there some sort of other permanent registry?

whats the diffrence between.. ads be gone.. and this proxmitron thing...? For some reason adsbegone, prevents me from seeing sites, and such with to many ads. I like a good ad blocker,like this but still lets me see stuff..
I've not had any serious display issues with it, no. It is also highly customizable, provided you're the sort that likes to tinker.
Get a different browser maruchan (Mozilla). The world will thank you.

maruchan... just download Mozilla, make sure it loads at runtime, set it as default, if you use the quick launch, put the Mozilla icon there instead of IE, etc... basically make Mozilla your default. You'll get used to it in no time, and with features like tabs, you'll wonder how you ever used IE at all. Seriously, when I have to use IE (because a site is stupidly coded for IE), it feels so primitive and crude that I wonder how that POS got 90% market share.
In Windows98 there's a History folder in the Windows folder.
In Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings then click tools/folder options/check the box to show hidden files you will find history there.

You can always hack your NetBIOS if you want to kill your computer, but clearing you temporary internet files, windows temp files, cookies, and web page history with a good multilayering deleting software, and disabling auto complete, and browsing behind a firewall or two on ghost/stealth mode ought to leave your tacks covered.
