Just had to do it:
I can't wait for TRON 2.0. Reading about the how the game will have an experience point system makes it sound even better. It sounds like it will fit right in with those other FPS/Adventure games I recently talked about.
Hopefully the TRON 2.0 movie will be good. It's hard to explain to someone who didn't see the original movie back when it came out just how revolutionary it was at the time. The video game industry was and still is heavily influenced by TRON.
I'm actually very much against the whole Tron rehash.
People of this era are obviously not that accepting of the original Tron concept so they'll have to redo effect, upgrade the graphics etc... but it won't quite be the same Tron with out the cheesy vector graphics.
Besides, that movie was made when anything that sounded 'computer-like' was a geek thing... like people would believe just because they were confused about the whole thing... with the new generation of computer saavy, I can't see it gaining a whole load of new fans.
Um, things now that are considered "computer-like" are STILL geek things, and continue to scare old people to boot.
Jesus, you're a regular troll now Jeremy :p
Anyway, this game looks really interesting, and even though I don't know much about the sound material, I'm looking forward to it. Check out the trailer, nice.
This will be a great game.
...Assuming they make a multiplayer Light Cycle mode.
I've been reading about this for months now and couldn't wait the first time I set eyes on the screens and renders.
Unfortunatly, I've been waiting for it with a vastly outclassed, underpowered machine. :(
Nice...
I read in a recent Computer Gaming World that there are no plans for a Tron 2.0 movie. The game was just a project that Monolith came up with. I believe that one of the original movie designers did the new lightcycle, though.Quote:

Ah, okay. I can live without another movie.
Warriors of Tron was announced quite some time ago. What's happened since or how far along it is I couldn't tell you.Quote:
