Why did bleem not release this? I know why, more or less, but some people here seem to be clueless...

DISCJUGGLER CRASHES:
It's a problem with DJ and Windows. Don't open the .CDI from Windows Explorer. Open DJ and select "Burn CD and DVD Images" (or go to File > New if you don't see the menu). In the source area, click the button to select the image. Then click Start. DO NOT REPAIR THE IMAGE.

Gave it a shot and ended up with a disc that only looped the boot sequence.

Hah - tried it again, and it burned perfectly. Didn't do anything different from the first time (using discjuggler 4 freebie ver.) - wonder why?

Kind of fun, but also kind of useless. Most of my games don't work. Raystorm is pretty good - missing some backgrounds and has some sound glitches, but otherwise plays well and the graphics are fantastic.

Gradius Gaiden and ZanacXZanac run well, also (except you can't see the powerup bar in Gradius). But wow, 2D games in Bleemcast sure look like crap. Castlevania didn't work when I tried it, and I'm kind of glad.

I guess there's no way to press the select button, is there?

I've tried most of the PSX games I own, and they pretty much all run to some degree. As it is right now, though, Bleemcast is at the "interesting tech demo" level that so many emulators never get past. I can certainly see why they went with releasing the three single-game discs.

One thing that is really nice about it, though, is the way it gets rid of the PSX's signature polygonal jitter. Compare how Vagrant Story runs on Bleemcast to how it runs on epsxe. It's kind of a shame that Bleemcast never made it past this point as a multi-game emulator...but ah well.

Dude, that's what it does--it flashes the Bleemcast logo 50 times a second. Just open the DC up and put a PS game in there.

Also, FYI: Pushing Start + XYBA does a soft reset. You can switch to another PS game using this method. Open up the DC when nothing is being loaded (pausing the current game helps). open the DC up and put another PS game and do a soft reset--automatically bleems the new game.

It doesn't even make it to the Bleem logo. It loops the DC boot sequence, is what I'm saying.

That's what I was thinking but I think this "beta" is post-release of their stand alone work so the latest code optimizations should've been incorporated. At least idealy.

well like every other dreamcast image i try to burn (either ready made clone cd or nero images) or this one....i boot it up and it goes right to the dc's config screen. oh well. back to epsxe.

I had this problem when I converted the image to Nero format.

BURN WITH DISCJUGGLER. Do not say "yes" when it asks if you want to "fix" the image.

UUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't get this damned thing to burn no matter what I use. I tried Disc Juggler and Alcohol 120% and I always get an error that says "Invalid Field in Parameter List" and it shoots out the CD-R. And no, I do not say yes when it asks me to fix the image.
