for the mac people, that way is more complicated than it needs to be. basic method is use cdirip ( http://cdirip.freeyellow.com/CDIRip_0.6.2.sit if you dont got macosx use this one: http://cdirip.freeyellow.com/cdirip-0.6.1.sit ), itll come out with an audio track and iso. use toast and in prefs make sure 'prefer disc at once' is checked. burn the audio as an audio cd SESSION. then drag the iso to the 'multitrack cdromxa' thing in toast, and finish the disc.

The problem I'm having is with Toast--I don't want to pay 80 bucks for it just for a beta disc because I won't really use it for anything else...is there a demo version that I can get for free?

I think Kazaa or DirectConnect has some free versions ^_-
