Boobies

Have you ever found yourself enjoying a mediocre game simply because there was a hot chick in it sporting the absolute cutting edge in boob jiggle technology, or looking forward to (or buying) a game in part because there was a female character in it that appealed to you in a sick, immoral way? Has the endowments of a female character ever influenced your decision to purcahse a game in any way? It's a sad, sad thing but there's people out there that will buy a game based on sex appeal, DOAXV alone is proof of that. Really, once you strip (huh-huh) away the T&A, all you're left with is a volleyball game...and who really gives a shit about a volleyball game?

I'll admit to doing this here and there in a way as well...considering my huge Pile O' Shame, I'm trying to be a little more careful about what I buy. I was weighing the possibility of picking up ZOE 2 but couldn't make up my mind. Then I saw a pic of the redheaded female character with the huge boobies in it and I found myself saying, "Wow, nice boobs, I'm gonna get this game...". What the hell was wrong with me? I mean, I have a girlfriend and all. Is it subliminal?

Still, developers like Acclaim and Team Ninja prey on guys with mindsets like that...

All heterosexual guys are attracted to boobs. That's why they exist is to attract men, they serve no other purpose in being jiggly and soft. If they were just for milking then I'd imagine they'd look like utters or something. Don't feel bad for being human, as long as you don't go around like those retarded frat boys at spring break shouting show us your tits, you're alright in my book.

As far as buying games solely for T'n'A', sadly yes, I have DOA 1 and 2 and I never played as one of the male characters... not even once.

I fall prey to this more often than I'd like to admit. My interest in a game (pre-release) will almost always be piqued if there's some flesh being shown when the game is introduced, though I usually regain my senses before release dates roll around. Other times I'll find myself more interested in a game I had no interest in before if I find some sort of sex appeal when reading up on the game. It's kind of embarassing, but I suppose it's not really a problem, as long as I don't start buying crap games just because of the T&A. If a game is great in the first place and just happens to have some additional appeal for me in that way, then I don't have a problem with that. :D

Fighters are the most common example of this for me. My initial interest in a fighter largely depends on how appealing the characters are to me, but this is especially important when it comes to the female fighters. :sweat:

And yes, I enjoyed DOAX, but not only because of the girls. :p

Hell, I'm attracted to boobs, and I'm a girl! I love boobs! They are so round......and nice..........um, yeah. anyway, boobs rock! especially when they are animated well in games........I still love Mai just for her boob reason.

This month's Edge mag has a pretty interesting article about digital boobies, plus a number of interviews with industry women.

I almost said everyone, but my girlfriend who has a nice pair herself is always complaining about them being in the way. She also is annoyed by the presence of large fake breast (I'm indifferent to them myself). When she whines too much I just tell her that's our future kids' supper she's complaining about, and make up some stuff about kids that don't get breast fed being maladjusted.

I love teh boobies myself, and I must admit, I was very fascinated with DOAXBV when the previews were making the rounds in the gaming mags, but my interest soon waned (primarily because I don't have an Xbox).

Most of the time, I don't really care one way or the other, but there are a few games out there that I'd like to get my hands on (uh...huh huh huh) due to their "sex appeal". Sexy Parodius and Steam Hearts immediately spring to mind.

I was actually going to post something regarding my change in such a manner, but this seems a good place to put such a thing.

I've actually found this doesn't affect me very much anymore, and actually has the opposite intended effect. Do I like T'n'A? Hell yes. Do I like forced T'n'A that serves no purpose? ...Not as much anymore. When I see a game that is using costumes for the sole purpose of showing off I'm finding it stupider and stupider and am beginning to want more practicality in clothes.

A couple recent instances: Xenosaga with Shion and the 100 series Realians. Why does the regulation dress for an off-shoot of the military only go down the bottom of the crotch? Why do giant heaping amounts of children-styled creations wear dresses of the same accord? It makes no sense. Fear Effect 3 also has a lot of screwiness, with a female running around in a hospital smock that's much shorter and tighter then usual. Then there's also the screenshot they keep showing of another female in a way too small nurse outfit that she's almost busting out of (no pun intended). Then there's FFX-2, and nothing really needs to be pointed out there.

I don't mind (and rather enjoy) if T'n'A crops up once in a while in most any subject matter, but to have the characters continuously running around in pure silliness just looks stupid. My roomie picked up an issue of Newtype a week ago and as we watched the preview DVD it came with there was an ad for an anime called Noir. The main protaginists appeared to be a woman in a mini-skirt and a girl in a typical schoolgirl outfit participating in continuous action scenes usually revolving around gunplay. I watched the entire clip unable to consider ever watching it seriously because it's so damn retarded to think that females could fight in those outfits.

Do I linger a bit longer on the game cases with attractive females? Yep. Does it encourage me at all to buy them? Nope.
