Kicking a soccer ball at someone does little to nothing, even if you hit them in the sacs.
Elbow or intentional late tackle is the way to go.
Note: I would not want to get hit in the face with a soccer ball.
I know some of the best H.S. soccer players in NY, if one of them hit me in the face with a soccer ball, I'd have a broken nose for sure.
