another thing about magical drop 3. make sure you check out the saturn version. it's been said previously, but no one touched on a deceptively minor difference. the saturn version's load times are excellent, and there isn't any loading between rounds (and matches, if you choose to stick with the same characters). this feature alone puts it far above the playstation version.

the MVS version is very, very cheap too.

All of the Xi/Devil Dice games are worth the time to play, and I can only hold off on fully recommending Xi Go since Quest Mode sorta bites and the rest of the game doesn't offer as much as Xi and Xi Jumbo did (even if you can play by those old rules in Xi Go).
And I am telling you people:
Otostaz.
Seriously.
(... goddamn, even when he starts the thread off saying he's already known about Tetris Attack, it's STILL damned near the only puzzle game people want to mention, wtf...)

Lots of great puzzlers are on the PC, and they have low sys requirements to boot. I great place to start is www.popccap.com I highly recommend Bookworm and Atomica.
Tetrisphere for the N64 is easily overlooked as is Wetrix (which I think also came out for DC). And Swirl for the DC is a great multiplayer game.

XI sai on the wonderswan is pretty good and very cheap, a must purchase for WSC owners who like puzzlers

The only ones coming to mind that haven't been listed are:
Pop n Pop (PS1) Sort of a variation on Puzzle Bobble/Bust a Move. The player releases balloons that float up and join like colors. Typical chaining and combos can be worked but the ballons float up to banks of clouds that move. Shooting a set of balloons past the clouds results in the clouds quickly dropping one level closer. All the Taito greats are in there, Bub, Bubby, Jim and even the New Zealand Story baby chicken. It's brilliant.
Puzz Loop (PS1) This is very similar to the US release known as Ballistic. This one is improved featuring the same basic gameplay but with all sorts of hazards and such. More character than Ballistic as well. I hear that this one is harder to find but who knows?
Wario's Woods (SNES) This one plays a bit like Columns, a bit like Puyo Puyo. It's been quite some time since I've played it so I could use a refresher. I remember quite clearly that it was great though.

Picrossssssssss!
I own the Pop n' pop F3 cart and I have to say its kinda slow, the characters are really cool, esp. if you like Taito cute. But I found it was a little too deliberate and the release timing thing kinda bothered me. Not like Puzzle Bobble were you lay the bubbles fast and hard. DROWN, DROWN IN A SEA OF BUBBLES FUCKER!!! If only I can find someone to link play me at puzzle bobble mini :( I really should make a computer interface for the NGPC serial line so people can play those games online against other people. Wouldn't that be tops? MOTM and, dare I say it? Faselei!
-
Not yet mentioned: One Piece Mansion. Beautiful puzzle game by Capcom that should be fairly cheap, provided you can find it anymore.
-
Man Faselei would be super fun against a human opponent. Is this something that can actually be pulled off the maniac hacker or is it just wishful thinking? I hope the former!

Anyone ever played Noon?
Great game on the Saturn, a mix of Bomberman and a puzzle game.
