It can be done, but not alone. Nerds unite!
Klax is a truly great puzzle game. I think it's among the best of the "falling pieces" puzzle games. A site called Klaxworld has lots of information on this game, which originated in arcades and has also been converted to numerous home systems. I've had the Atari Lynx version of the game since it first came out in 1990, and I still play it regularly.
Another puzzle game that I highly recommend is Lemmings. This game was one of the reasons I bought an Amiga computer back in 1992. It's a fabulous game that was published by Psygnosis a few years before Sony purchased them, and developed by DMA Design. DMA Design was purchased a few years ago by Take Two Interactive and is now known as Rockstar North--they also created the Grand Theft Auto series. This is one of my personal favorites. I liked Lemmings so much that I not only completed the Amiga version, but also bought the Atari Lynx version and finished that one, too!
Finally, one game that I want to suggest that rarely gets mentioned is Zenji. This is a very fun puzzle game that Activision released way back in 1984, even before the ever-popular Tetris was created. I'm most familiar with the Commodore 64 version, but there have also been versions for ColecoVision, Atari 5200, and Atari 8-bit computers. It's an amazingly good game that holds up well even today.
Play Tetris Attack. For SNES. And never look back...
Tetris 3 for Super Famicom is great, I think it includes Bombliss and Magicaliss, 2 variations on tetris...the best version of Tetris ever I think is the New Tetris, for N64, if you can even find it....
....and everyone is forgeting Roll Away, PS1 ...awesome game, you roll a beach ball around floating 3D structures and try to get to the exit.....
